I had heard about, seen articles on and saw art samples from the proposed Micronauts animated series that Hasbro was in production with. I wasn't that impressed-it didn't look or feel like any of the versions of Micronauts that I did like but I would have given it a shot if it was released. Hasbro announced it was not moving forward with it, and I kind of forgot about it. I think I even started or contributed to a thread about here around that time. I figured it got cancelled before it ever went into production, but apparently it was a "Batgirl" situation. Somewhere around 2 seasons worth of episodes were made (I've seen 52 mentioned as the number of episodes) but shelved and never released for tax purposes. There's a thread here on a toy forum discussing it briefly. Apparently the news came out during the Writer's and Actor's Guild strikes as an example of bad behavior on the studios part, but I didn't see it until someone on the Mego forums pointed it out. Like I said, I don't think I would have liked this iteration, I'm just kind of amazed 2 seasons of episodes got made and nothing got leaked or released in trailers, previews, etc. Here's the concept art that was released when the series was announced as being in the planning stages... -M

(... )I'm just kind of amazed 2 seasons of episodes got made and nothing got leaked or released in trailers, previews, etc. (...) I find that almost jaw-dropping as well. And I definitely would have given it a chance had it been released.

It looks kind of generic to me.

the art actually reminds me of Ben 10. Seems a bit crazy if they made 2 seasons of shows they wouldn't release it in some form to see what happens? Can't be worst that some of the stuff that makes it out!
