I'll be heading to the LCS tomorrow, but according to Comic Hub this is what's waiting for me as of today (Conan 7 is supposed to be in stores this week, delayed from last week, but it's not listed yet, but some stuff doesn't get posted until Wednesday om the Hub depending which distributor it's coming from).
The Batman & Scooby Doo Mysteries #2 Birds of Prey #6 Creepy Archives Vol. 5 Everything I Need to Know I Learned from RPGs HC Gone #2 Pathfinder Wake the Dead #5 (final issue) Scooby Doo Where Are You? #126 Shazam #8 Young Romance #125 Facsimile Edition

Superman '78: The Metal Curtain #4 continued the greatness although I’m getting sad that we are already over halfway through. I really hope it’s selling well enough to warrant a third series. I really think they should give Robert Venditti an ongoing Superman title in addition to these Superman '78 mini-series.
And extra shoutout for all the issues coming out on a regular basis and not being lateness plagued like the Batman '89 sequel mini-series.

Just got back from the lcs with the last 2 weeks worth of stuff. Some things that had been on back order also came in-the RPG book and the Conan virgin variants of Rob de la Torre's covers. I picked up 2 extras as well, the new Batman issue, been on a Bat-kick and it was pt. 1 of an arc, and the new Thundercats book. Mrs. MRP loves Thundercats and our lcs ordered heavy on it, so I decided to grab one. Added bonus, the Young Romance facsimile is also a red dress cover! -M

I went into the DC Valentine's anthology with fairly low expectations but How To Lose A Guy Gardner In 10 Days was actually surprisingly good, especially the titular story about Gardner.

As much as I don't really need another Joker infects all of Gotham storyline or an origin story(especially not one that is a continuation of the really dumb, "Three Jokers" plot")...Chip Zdarsky's Batman #142 was actually surprisingly decent. Zero Year was a solid story and this played really well as a follow up to it, giving us some great scenes of a young Batman and Jim Gordon feeling out their relationship in the wake of the end of the Red Hood Gang and I think because the whole infection plot is in a "possible" future it's over the top nature isn't as egregious as if it was set in the present. I don't know how any of this ties into the previously overly drawn out failsafe story that Chip had been telling but for now it's a pretty decent Batman book.

She-Hulk continues to be a fun read, there's not much going on plot wise but the day in the life adventures of Jen and her friends is still making for great reading.

Thundercats was interesting, it's a lot of what we've seen before but there was an interesting twist at the end that has me interested.

She-Hulk continues to be a fun read, there's not much going on plot wise but the day in the life adventures of Jen and her friends is still making for great reading. I enjoyed the last She-Hulk series before this inexplicable reboot, but I didn't get this one because it was a little too light on substance. Slice of life stories are fun as a diversion from the main plot, but if nothing ever happens, they become kind of "samey".

Doctor Strange was a bit of a letdown, as I expected an issue that was Bats the Ghost Dog heavy would be more interesting. The reveal of the mysterious presence that Bats was sensing in the Sanctum was "oh, him again" for me.
Captain America wrapped up the first story arc of the new series in OK fashion. The overall story didn't really blow my socks off, although the flashback portion of it was the more interesting of the two, so I'm hoping the next one starting in issue #7 builds some momentum. I really hate it when Cap's books are bad, or even worse, just "meh".

Slice of life stories are fun as a diversion from the main plot, but if nothing ever happens, they become kind of "samey". That's certainly a possibility, and in the long run I don't know how much more I'd want but between the amazing art and the fun character moments I'm definitely hooked in the short term. I mean, they just had a girls night with Captain Marvel, Hellcat and Jen that resulted in them fighting demons at a karaoke bar...how can you say no to that?

I really need to get back into Strange, I fell off for some reason(I think my shop missed an issue?) and just never picked it back up.

This facsimile reprint of Young Romance #125 is the best thing I’ve read since … well, two days ago when I read Journey into Mystery #111.
That’s some pretty good competition. Romance comics are great!
