Where do key issues such as Hulk 181 rank in your most loved issues? While 181 is incredibly important and I wish I had a copy, I wouldn’t say it was ever one of my top 10 favorite reads.
My top 10 favorite reads: Hulk 128 Avengers 164 X-men 128 Iron Man 124 Iron Man 118 Daredevil 163 FF 242 FF 243 Avengers 59 Amazing Spiderman 232

Despite catching Wolverine fever in the 80's like many others, #181 was never a favorite read for me either.
I would say Adventure #247, Action #252, Amazing Fantasy #15, and Fantastic Four #1 are still enjoyable for me in terms of major "first appearances".

"Key" issues are a matter of complete indifference to me.

"Key" issues are a matter of complete indifference to me. Or, everyone has their own keys. Don't let others tell you what you're supposed to love.

I can't think of any that mean much to me - but then I don't have a keen awareness of what they even are, in many cases. I often find myself surprised at some back-issue being priced a hundred times the surrounding issues for no immediately apparent reason.

I forgot the obvious things like #1s and "anniversary" numbers like #50s, #100s, etc. Yes, some of those happen to be good issues.
But the first appearances, those are luck of the draw. Even a favourite character might not necessarily be introduced in an especially good issue. Blade's a good character, for example, but I've never thought his first story in Tomb of Dracula #10 or #11 one of the better ToD issues. Moon Knight would be a counter-example for me - I think his first issue in Werewolf by Night and the follow-up were really good comics.

The Key issues I cared about were Gold Key issues.

The Key issues I cared about were Gold Key issues.
Next time I win the cover contest I'll be sure to name the next topic as "Keys", just to see the many and varied interpretations that can be put upon the word in the world of comic books.

I was going to look for JLA issues with the Key in them.

She featured in battle, and GCD says she saved Conan's life twice. I don't understand why Star Wars #39-44 are considered key when they feature reprinted material from Marvel Super Special #16. The Anatomy Lesson was in Saga of the Swamp Thing #21, Alan Moore's second issue.

7. Star Spangled Comics #65 9. Four Color #178 I have no idea why Star-Spangled #65 is "key." I even Googled the cover and I still don't know. Four Color #178 is an important comic. And it's...good. But it's not great. I mean, I don't dislike it. But it's such primordial Scrooge that he barely resembles what he would become.
