So does Superman have a great sense of humor due to being exposed to our yellow sun as Jerry suggests or is that the one area that was not improved despite the exposure and he is pretty unfunny as George suggests? Discuss. I agree with George I’ve never heard him ever say anything particularly funny.

Although I've never heard him say anything funny either, I would suggest that only someone with a brilliant sense of humour could come up with his Clark Kent identity.
Edited to add: I did remember something funny he did:
Luthor once trapped Superman in his war suit and used some device to create the impression that it was Luthor in the outfit by projecting his own face and voice onto the armour. Superman couldn't figure a way out of the suit since it was impervious to his powers so he decided to get Supergirl to impersonate an alien warrior who had come to Metropolis to do battle with Superman. Superman - as Luthor - shows up, explains that nobody comes to Metropolis looking to hurt his "good buddy" and "pal" Superman without answering to Lex Luthor first, and lets Metropolis watch as "Lex Luthor" rants about how much he'd rather die than let someone hurt his "courageous" friend Superman.
Naturally, Luthor releases Superman so as to save his own reputation.

He doesn't crack jokes a lot, but his best friend is Jimmy Olsen ... nobody could maintain that relationship without a sense of humor.
