Can someone tell me what's the maximum size jpeg that can be posted? I'm noticing a number of my pics being shrunk down, without my doing.

Thus, if your images are being shrunken down, it means that at least one dimension would have run off the screen if not re-sized. We used to have the board set the other way, providing a scroll bar instead, but this made for some pretty non-user intuitive viewing.

I hated the scroll bar....made viewing things nearly impossible, especially in image heavy threads...I noticed it had changed, but not the why of it...Saint Shaxper strikes again -M

For example, I started this thread below classiccomics.boards.net/thread/68/series-never-tried-comments-onwith a much larger pic of ex machina. Did automatic resize shrink it down that badly? I don't want to do a collage of new books I got, format it to 1200 pixels in width, only to have it shrunk down like that. So can a maximum size be given to work with?

Copy the url of the image and paste it into a new browser. You'll see (as I just did) that the server hosting the image is providing that resolution.

This happened to a bunch of images I had on the front page too. The problem is dc.wikia.com. They are resizing linked images. I try to avoid using those images now (same goes for the marvel.wikia stuff).

Thanks for the replies, I'll link from other sites which don't result in silly little pics.

I really like the resizing function.

Firefox is excellent for working with images. That's the main reason I use it.
