Just for fun on this really hot day.
You’re on a desert island and you can choose a writer and an artist to be stranded with you to tell your exploits to the world who would it be?

Awww. That's not as easy to answer as the question implies. After all, certain artists and writers might be better suited for a very specific recollection / exploit, while the wrong fit for another, despite you being the "continuing character" of every story.

Colleen Doran, because if I'm going to be stranded on an island, then a pretty lady of Irish descent, who can write and draw comics, is going to be a better companion than Lee & Kirby or O'Neil & Adams.

Well, if you want to take that tack, I'll vote for Rocketeer era Jennifer Connelly, and who care how well she can write or draw?

There are two things at work. Who would you like to be stranded with? And who would you want to tell your story?

Let me rephrase
You have been stranded on an island for a year. You are rescued and now you want the world to kno your story but in comic book form. What writer and artis do you choose to tell your story?

I don't think being stranded on an island for a year would be interesting enough for a comic. I mean, if they're going to turn it into am adventure yarn, I'd go with Roy Thomas... if I've fought off a secret alien invasion.... maybe Bendis? If I get bitten by a radioactive coconut and get some sort of superpowers... Peter David.

This is a fun idea.
I would likely seek a writer who would be willing to "embellish" the events somewhat to make them seem a little more exciting/dramatic (like an encounter with a dangerous prehistoric creature which in reality may have been a fairly docile wild goat).
I envision elements of Jules Verne storytelling, and some nod to Gold Key style comics. But to make it extra fun and put a twist or two on things, I'm going with Alan Moore to tell it. And then Al Williamson for art, because he would be a perfect fit and it would look amazing.

Boulet.
He'd be perfect to highlight the cheerful absurdity that my life would be.
