Nothing this week, which is okay as I'm reading a few books and my Batman Adventures omnibus

SO lots for me this week...
Action 1067 (Gail Simone's 1st issue) Batman '89 Echoes #3 (finally, like 2-3 months late) 2 Crit Role comics for Mrs.MRP: Critical Role Tales of Exandria II Artigan #4 and Vox Machina Origins IV #2 Deathstalker #3 (final issue-have a so bad it's good relationship with the movie, the comic however was just bad, and while it will continue in other minis, this was the last one I preordered and won't be getting more) Flash Vol. 1 Strange Attractors From the DC Vault: Death in the Family Robin Lives #1 Gatchaman: Galactor #1 Green Lantern #13 (Jose Garcia-Lopez style guide turnarounds cover) Hunger and the Dusk Vol. 2 #1 (one of the best fantasy comics on the market-G.Willow Wilson is hitting on all cylinders on this book) Looney Tunes #279 Red Sonja: Empire of the Damned #4 (Steve Niles horror in a Sonja book) Savage Sword of Conan #3 (the Conan books from Titan are the only things keeping Hunger and the Dusk form being THE best fantasy book out there right now) X-Men #1 (I'm more curious for Simone's Uncanny book, but getting this one to see what is what, it's the only one besides Simone's book I am getting in print-I'll sample the rest eventually via Unlimited)

Action #1067. loved the throwback story similar to O'Neil & Adam's. It was great reading a Gail Simone story again. Green Lantern #13. not following the Absolute Power event so mixed feelings. Although this has been an excellent Hal title. Daredevil #11. Bullseye and Fisk. And repercussions from Matt's return from the dead. Wasnt sure about the return of Fisk but the new twist makes it worthwhile. Geiger #4.still like it despite the slow pace. I just wish we could get some answers to have this series move along a bit.

I really enjoyed the new continuation of Robin Lives, it really does feel like an authentic "lost" story from the 80's and the sketchy, moody art definitely feels 80's period appropriate either.

Wonder Woman's inclusion in the Gaslight universe is certainly an interesting move. I really wonder how it will all tie together though

I really loved Simone on Action, and it definitely felt like a fun throwback to the 80's.

None of my regular books came out this week, so I didn’t even stop by the comic book shop.
However, I didn’t know that Gail Simone was writing Action Comics. That’s kind of tempting.

I think Action is doing rotating writers with each arc currently. First was Jason Aaron with his story, then was Joshua Williamson with the House of Braniac stuff, and now Simone, but I think she is only doing the one arc. At least that was what they announced when Aaron took over for his arc. -M

Jason Aaron's Brainiac story was fantastic and I really loved the classic monster of the week feel that Simone brought to this issue.
