By the way, this will be a comment made with a certain amount of humour and affection, but as a kid, I found Dungeon Master a tad annoying, with his vague allusions to this and that, with no firm promise about whether they’d ever return to their realm. He should have gone in to politics. He should have said, “Yes, you will get back to your realm, in time, I am working on it.” Or, “I’m sorry, you’re stuck here, I have no way to get you back, so unless that changes, you’re staying here.” Instead he was just full of vague allusions. Great show, though, and I loved the animation. I think at least one UK annual was published.

This was another Saturday morning fave. I wish, and this isn’t a criticism of just that show, that we could have had some resolutions to the series. Would have been nice to see them get back to their dimension? (Didn’t they return at least once, but were forced back?) And did anyone in the U.S. government actually bother to check on that ride? Missing rollercoaster riders should have drawn some attention! Loved it, though, and I like that a certain piece of incidental music was shared between this series and The Incredible Hulk. Ah, you caught that on the music with the Hulk as well, I was going to mention that, nice! After my personal "big 3" (MOTU, G.I. Joe, and Transformers), this gets my action 4th spot (sorry Thundercats). I had been actively playing 1e AD&D with friends from school when this came out, so I was super excited to get the cartoon. And then it was kind of like, hmm, this isn't exactly the game, more an "inspired by". But I still loved it, especially any Tiamat appearance! Also to your question about a resolution to the series, there an episode planned that would have concluded the series but the show was cancelled and the 4th season never happened (how many times have we heard that one?).

Maybe a comic publisher could do a resolution. Lack of resolutions irked me as a kid, we never saw a final battle between, say, He-Man and Skeletor, or Inspector Gadget and Doctor Claw. Not that animation was the sole culprit for that: I’m frustrated that live-action shows didn’t have resolutions, such as The Incredible Hulk, The Time Tunnel, Lost in Space, and Land of the Giants. So they weren’t blameless, either. Personally, I believe there should have been a federal law stating ALL shows must, if necessary by taxation, be resolved. I think that’s life at times. We want closure. We don’t always get it. Even worse are those shows that end a season on a cliffhanger - and then never return. But I try not to let that detract from my enjoyment too much.

Good. That also reminds me, we live in a world where physical media is declining, and some, including friends of mine, suggest streaming is the be-all and end-all. But what are the odds that Galaxy High (or any of the shows mentioned here) aren’t on Netflix or any service? I just checked to see if Galaxy High is on any platform by typing its title into Just Watch, which lets you know which streaming platforms a series or film is on. It is not available for streaming anywhere. So I guess it’s important we protect and preserve physical media. My family streams most everything like "normal" people today, I'm the one who has to have everything on DVD haha. But yeah, it comes in handy at times, I "know" all of my favorite shows are preserved and available to watch. Rarities that do show up sometimes on YouTube we rip and burn to DVD before they come down and get lost again. I have a large library of old sports full game broadcasts as well, same idea, trying to preserve history in addition to simply enjoying it.

I've heard of this one but I don't know why! I don't "think" I watched it, and yet I'm absolutely positive I "know it" some how. Curse you aging memory! I want to see more of this as well.

Sometimes it’s osmosis, my friend. I’ve never seen Game of Thrones, but I feel I “know it” simply because of TV ads, billboards and comments from other people.
Here’s yet another favourite:

Here's a favorite of mine. I LOVE the look of this one, never heard of it before! I think it aired on Nickelodeon in the States. It was a Japanese/French co-production.

DM and spin-off Duckula are both so brilliant, we've already gone through watching all the episodes twice from our new Duckula DVD set that Amazon UK had. This is probably a good time to add the Danger Mouse opening, easily a "Top 10" pick for the 80's for me as well: EDIT, you beat me to it haha!

I'd like to think Supercat can play this on the guitar.

I'd like to think Supercat can play this on the guitar. You would be right, but I'm thinking this is the appropriate guitar from the collection to play it on:

One of the greatest Japanese animes of the 80s. This used to air in prime time on Sundays and draw 30 percent + audience shares.
