First would be my choice were it not for Aardvark-Vanaheim. I really enjoyed Cerebus in the early 90s. Dave Sim went all strange after that, but the combination of actual story, lengthy letters section, showcase of what other independent creators' work and advice to self-publishers was a great mix. The bi-weekly reprints were also a boon, as were the big phonebooks.
Neil the Horse and Puma Blues weren't around for very long, but they were cool too.

On a British note, there are some characters who I think would be ripe for rediscovery, e.g. Doomlord and Dan Dare. I know licensees have released collections of their classic exploits, but it might be nice to see them again (I think there was a modern Dan Dare comic a few years ago).

I voted for Gold Key. So many wonderful books like the Disney stuff and Star Trek. Too many to mention. The covers lone get them in the conversation! I could have of course voted "other" for something like Harvey and all their great humor mags, but I try not to vote for "other" in these types of polls if there's a god enough alternative because it's too easy. The answer could almost always be "other".

I voted for OTHER as well. While First would be my choice, I'm going to say NOW COMICS just to bring them up in the conversation. I really enjoyed a lot of their line. Their Green Hornet series was pretty solid. Their IP line of comics was better than it should have been.

Ah, yes. Thank you. I seem to recall a Slimer comic - which seemed peculiar because I’m not sure how much story potential there is in a greedy ghost that just hangs around eating.

I, too, picked "Other" for First.

Would be nice if UK's Fleetway returned with Misty. She only makes her presence felt in the occasional one-off....

Would be nice if UK's Fleetway returned with Misty. She only makes her presence felt in the occasional one-off.... My sister liked that comic. I did read one of the one-offs they did about 5 or 6 years ago. I think there have been some great UK horror comics - and strips within comics, and some might be ripe for rediscovery. Like Scream!

I chose 'Other.' As much as some of the lines above number among my favorites, I'd vote for Star*Reach. Consistently high quality with a fair amount of experimentalism, plus Mike Friedrich is still alive to mentor it!

Gold Key, I'd love some old-fashioned "non-edgy" comic book storytelling, plus more of those snazzy painted covers.
