I stumbled across this article: comicbook.com/comicbook/news/10-greatest-frank-miller-stories/How would you rate your own top 10 or top 5 Miller stories? Presumably nothing from the last quarter century would make the list... For me: 5. Sin City: The Hard Goodbye 4. Daredevil: Born Again 3. Batman: Year One 2. Daredevil: The Elektra Saga 1. Batman: The Dark Knight Returns

There's a lot to like!
Born Again Batman: Year One The Dark Knight Returns Wolverine Daredevil (the entire first run... no point in selecting individual issues) The Hard Goodbye Marvel Team-Up annual #4 Give Me Liberty
I stop at eight because those are all top notch in my opinion. Several other works are pretty good, but these I view as must-read material.

The first 9 and last 9 aren't as strong as the amazing middle part, most of which is now known as the Elektra Saga, though, which is why I differentiated.

Doesn't the Elektra Saga include DD #187-190? The Baxter reprint series of that name certainly included material from those issues.

It seems it can include many things: a) Daredevil #168, 174-177, 181-182, 187-190 and Bizarre Adventures #28. b) Daredevil #168-181 c) Daredevil #168-182 d) Daredevil #168, 174-182 The 'essential' issues for me fall between 168-181.
