I never realised how many comics they wrote that on! The only one I could recall from memory was the Teen Titans one 😅

Looking at these covers, I love how the word "Collectors" varies from singular possessive ('s) to plural possessive (s'), apparently totally at the whim of the publisher.
Prince Hal or shaxper , as our resident educators, which would be more grammatically correct? Asking "for a friend." This is a fun one; I'd argue it could be all of these depending on the context. An individual book, say Action #1, is a collector's item, an item only one collector can own. "Hey, Dan Bailey, isn't copy of Brother Power the Geek #3 that your cat is using as a litter box a collector's item?""Marvel Collectors' Item Classics" is the name of a book that contains several items intended for many collectors to own. Ergo the plural form seems to fit. I would argue that it shou;ld probably be "Collector's-Item" with a hyphen because it is acting as a compound adjective. I'm sure Stan and Sol Brodsky had many a friendly dispute over that sticky wicket. "Grammar, shammer, Stan! You know how much more will it cost to add a hyphen? And don't Jolly Solly me, either!" And there is also an argument for plain old "collectors item," because collectors is a plural noun being used attributively (as an adjective), rather than as a genitive (indicating possession) of collectors in general. "Oy!"Branding SuperPro as a "Collector's Item," meanwhile, is not only wrong grammatically since it is intended for many readers of the easily bilked variety, but artistically as well. Also violates the truth in advertising laws, if any such things exist. Our next call comes from Dee Leted, who has a query about pinheads and angels. Welcome, Dee...

Wow! I've actually got a lot of these! One of these days I've got to go through my collection and see how many collector items I've actually got!

Thanks for the clarification. You saved me a trip to the attic to hunt for my ancient copy (1st edition) of The Little, Brown Handbook!

That, my friend, is a great suggestion. Don't think that I don't have one!

Do you play the jug like in those old movies ? I have a bandmate that plays the jug very well, and has even won competitions-- but personally, I prefer to use them as storage vessels for adult beverages.
