First of all, thanks to everyone who voted. I know there’s another election going on this week for those of you in the U.S., but of course the Classic Cover Contest is important too. Maybe even more so! I checked the past topics. And this one wasn’t listed, so hopefully I’m not repeating something that’s already been done. This week’s topic is “Collector’s Comics”! I’m sure we all have different ideas of what qualifies as a collectable comic, but just so there’s no confusion, I’m referring to those indisputable ones which are actually identified as such, right there on the cover! Sleepwalker 1 (1991) is a good example, (but I’m sure you’ll all come up with some others just as collectable as this one)! The rules - Post one, and only one, classic cover that fits the theme of the contest. - The cover must be from a published comic book or collected volume published before November 2014. - Please include the title and issue number of your choice for the benefit of anyone who can't see your cover. - Covers must be posted before voting begins, Tuesday, November 12th, beginning at 12:01 am PST and ending at 11:59 pm PST. - Vote by posting the name of the poster whose cover best fits the theme (or that you just like the best) in bold. - The winner of the contest is the poster with the most votes after the voting period ends. - The winner chooses the theme for the next week's contest. - If you don't think a particular cover fits the theme, just don't vote for it. No need to post disparaging remarks about it. But if a cover is more recent than the classic time frame, politely point that out to the poster, who may choose to replace it. Looking forward to your picks!

NFL Superpro #1 (1991, Marvel, John Romita and Ron Frenz)
Has there ever been a more collectable issue than this? I think not!

Looking at these covers, I love how the word "Collectors" varies from singular possessive ('s) to plural possessive (s'), apparently totally at the whim of the publisher.
Prince Hal or shaxper , as our resident educators, which would be more grammatically correct? Asking "for a friend."
