. . . They threw out us old timers. Or as I think of it, wiped us from continuity with Crisis on ComicBook Resources.

I have 29 on my list as of today. I have to go and look through the books that I have and see if I get "that" feeling. I can pare it down then.

I've pretty much got my list... mostly from the 90s, and all picked for sentimental reasons... which I feel is the way to go here. I few of them aren't particularly good, even

For me the reasoning is pretty easy. All my picks are meant to annoy somebody, usually shax or Kurt.

I'm looking forward to seeing the 90s pics and making comments on your selections.

I've more or less replaced "favorite" with "significant in my comics reading experience". If there is a characters/series/writer/artist that I love, where did that love begin? Not necessarily my first exposure, but the first one I loved. I moved in this direction because my favorite STORY involving that character/creator is much more likely something I read in trade than in issues. But I read issues for my first decade of reading comics and that's where a lot of my tastes formed.
That take has led to the list of all the things I never know how to rank on the various lists I make, because I know my interest is so much a function of when I was exposed to them. But those are what seem appropriate for this list.

I've more or less replaced "favorite" with "significant in my comics reading experience". This is how my list is shaping up too. I'm tempted to just rank them in chronological order, since it makes for an interesting (to me, at least) map of how my tastes have evolved over the decades.

Regarding OGN: Cei-U said in the original post original GN are eligible. I also PMed him and asked about 80/100 page giants, Marvel Special Editions, Annuals that are reprint collections and Treasury Editions and he said they were all acceptable too (Kurt can correct me if he changes his mind or I misread the response), so just sharing that. So I think as long as it is in "floppy" format for the most part, or an original story that appears only in GN form, you shoudl be good, but then again, it's not my call. -M That may make things easier for me. I hardly ever read a done in one comic, and the ones I have read I'm not very likely to remember what issue number it was or anything.
