My list is going to be a mishmash. Some are issues that are important to me because of what they represent in terms of my reading experience - issues that introduced me to new characters or genres, that sort of thing. Others are stories that made a lasting impression as a kid, so I have nostalgia for them. Some are issues that have epic collecting stories to go with them - that issue that I just had to have, and spent years trying to find. And some combine all three of these. That's what my list is shaping up to be; a mishmash of nostalgia, sentimental reasons and the reasons behind I chose my selections. Kind of like DubipR's Classic Comic Timeline...

I doubt it, since anyone who'd notice is here, pretty much. There's very, very little classic comics content in the forums there.. most of the posts are talking about getting coupon codes for omnibuses and what sort of binding they have.

I wonder if anyone over at CBR is noticing there's no Classic Comics Christmas event this year... or if some brave soul is trying to organize one?! Cei-U! Likes to think he's irreplaceable! It would pale in comparison to the original.  Honestly, this competition is so enjoyable for me because of all of you guys being a part of it and we've gotten to know each other so well. If it were to happen on the new CBR board, I feel like it just wouldn't feel the same. |

Dear All - I got my 12 issues for 12 Days of Classic Comics Christmas with two bonus pictures to help me to bolster my reasons of why it is my favorites and all. I have all the images downloaded, uploaded to an image hosting website and ready to go.

I doubt anyone at CBR would object to someone going over there and posting an announcement about this. Heck, we promote Brian Cronin's polls here all the time. I won't post at CBR anymore for my own personal reasons, but I'd encourage someone else to do so. |
