Nice Thor #410 cover. Is that Kristoff fighting Dr. Doom? That is nice of Richard Bishop to send those comics to you.

Wasn't planning on getting anything for a bit, but got some Lonestar credit in a trade and just ordered the following (pics when they arrive):
Heavy Metal 34 (Jan 1980), 37 (April 1980) Sandman Mystery Theatre 18-21, 23-25, 27, 31, 32, 34-36, 40, 49, 50, 52 (fills in all but the last 10 issues of the series) Suicide Squad 52-55, 62, 65 (leaves 7 issues needed including the ridiculously overpriced 48 &49) Joe Kubert's Tor 3 (Epic magazine sized series)

From time to time, I have traded comics with some of the members of this forum. Crimebuster, mrp and dupont2000 have sent me stuff and I have sent them books back. It makes sense , if we all have books that we can part with.

It's usually done on a pay it forward or trade basis, not selling though. Someone gives you some stuff, you give some to them or to someone else, etc. but it is not the boards responsibility in any way if something happens (books get lost or whatever). People list classics and newer stuff, usually reading copies of stuff. Some people post want lists too. It is irregular though, people post when they have stuff to get rid of. Sometimes people handle it through PMs too, if they know someone is interested in something and they have an extra copy to send or whatever. I know I plan on doing another purge here in a month or so and will have some stuff to list when I finally get around to it. It's a nice little community thing, we share the things we don't want any more with those who will get some enjoyment out of it. -M

I have hundreds of books that I don't care about. I might do a purge soon.

I just put a huge list of comics in the thread, if someone is interested!Full Series, Minis, single issues, etc...
I'm currently doing a trade with Pinkfloydsound17, mrp, and did it in the past with these two as well as with roquefort raider. You should go check it out!

I'm close to a purge of probably about 300-500 books. Nothing exciting in there, but there might be something of interest to someone else in there.

I'm thinking of doing a purge in a month or two and I'm thinking of getting rid of 150-250 books altogether.

Over on the CGC Forums, we have an annual Christmas gift raffle. Everyone donates a prize, then names are drawn out of a hat, and people pick which prize they want in the order the names are drawn. This year I was lucky enough to have the second pick (out of around a hundred people). Today, I received my gift - an all-time classic Harry Lucey cover, and not an easy comic to find in nice shape. Very happy!
