I just ordered these two books: I wanted to order them a while ago, but I put it off in favor of getting some other books since I had just received Fire & Water.

Nah, different books. The Omnibus has all the Steranko stuff in the Complete collection, plus the Kirby run and... whoever drew SHIELD after Steranko left and before it was cancelled. Herb Trimpe? I've never read anything after Steranko. Just curious what does the one you got include? I've got the first volume of Nick Fury Masterworks, and the REALLY BAD Steranko collection from 2001 or so where it looks like they fed the remastered pages to a dog and he vomited them back on the page. I'm not 100% sure it even had all the Steranko issues in it. I've heard that if you brought that volume to Steranko to sign he would yell at you for your terrible taste. I'm gonna upgrade one of these days.

He was a really nice guy too and I enjoyed talking to him for the few minutes I had.

My weekly 1$ comics haul from the guy on eBay who lives really close to my place Jungle Action #22 Swamp Thing 15 Toka #3 (Don'T really buy Dell comics usually, but I liked the cover a lot nd you can't go wrong for a dollar) World's Finest #181, 200 Superman #204 Tales of Suspense #86
Not that many this week, as he mostly posted expensive ToS comics and I almost only buy 1$ comics from him... Still excited to read That Tokaand ToS book!

I picked up Mouse Guard today at my LCS. I had been eyeing this just about every time I went into my LCS for the past two years, and I've fingered through it, and I finally bought it today. Mouse Guard is outstanding. And I say that as someone who hates rodents.

I have had mice and rats as pets. You have to have more than one due to their social requirements, they do not live long enough, and they are the messiest creatures in all of ever.

I've not read Mouse Guard, but I have read most of Mice Templars by Glass and Oeming (and others later) after stumbling across the signed sketchbook/ashcan edition at a local store lo those many years ago when it was first released. Mouse Guard has been on my radar for a while though. sketchbook cover art (though not the art formt eh ashcan I discovered) 1st trade (of 4 I think) I'll cop to being interested in this initially because of the use of Templar and my long-term work on Templar history beginning in grad school until I stopped working in academia some time ago. -M

They are soooo MESSY. I had to wipe down my rat boys' cage at least once a day. Plus, I developed an allergy to their urine. I thought I had become asthmatic. It was awful. Do you have scans/pics of the inside of that book, by chance? I'd love to see what the inside looks like.

Some interior pages of Mice Templar per coldwater's request.... I am way behind on this series and need to catch up myself. I was buying singles for the first series but missed the end of that series and subsequent series when my 4-5 year hiatus from comics started in late 2007-I'filled in some when I first got back in but haven't gotten around to getting the rest. I'm leaning towards just getting the trades now. -M

And it makes me laugh to see a mouse tell another "And I'll not stand by like a fool as you try to steal my wife!".

Just purchased this last night: Because EFF YEAH: CHILDHOOD. I'll have to check this out I think I was around 13-14 when He-Man came out. Was a guilty pleasure I never told my friends about. I'd say He-Man came out when he started wearing this:
