I probably haven't read the Elongated Man stories in these issues, but I do come across the occasional story of those crazy Dibnys that I recognize from a reprint. It's always fun (for me anyway) to read stories about Ralph and Sue that I've never seen before. Those crazy Dibnys! What the heck are they doing? They got married and then went on a very long honeymoon (it lasted for half the Silver Age and most of the Bronze Age!) where they go from town to town and Ralph sniffs out mysteries with his magical mystery-detecting nose while Sue goes shopping or goes to a show. They are hilarious! I love those Elongated Man stories! (The ones I've read anyway.) It's like Hart to Hart, only with stretchy powers. I wonder if they've ever been collected anywhere.

July/August Update: Kind of a big update so sorry in advance. I blame accumulated Amazon and Lone Star credits. Excuse the stickers, I guess Lone Star is slapping them on the front of all their books now (ugh, tough to peel off too). Picked up the majority of The Forever People series, only need the first issue now. These Countdown Specials are quality 80-page reprints of classic stories, same goes for the Giant-Size Avengers and Black Bolt one-shot. Also got the Year 2000 80-page Giants from DC Comics: I've been on a J'onn J'onzz kick lately (hence the avatar) and decided to check out the Ostrander run. And the big books. Excited to read Simonson's Orion Omnibus for the first time. Decided to upgrade to The Inhumans TPB and Silver Surfer Epic Collection from their Essential Fantastic Four counterparts (need that color!). Same goes for The Great Darkness Saga and Infinity Gauntlet after parting with their respective floppies.

I believe there is an Elongated Man Showcase volume. Perhaps there are two? I don't believe I ever saw Hart to Hart, though I vaguely remember when it was on TV. I always think of Nick and Nora Charles, of the Thin Man movies.

Nice score. I'm liking those Forver people's. I'm missing #1 also.

I'll have to check out more of those. I used to love Hart to Hart. If you like Ralph & Sue, you should check it out.

And you get to see people like Jimmy Stewart, Nat Pendleton, Donna Reed, Edward Brophy, Maureen O'Sullivan, George Zucco, Otto Kruger, Patric Knowles, Sheldon Leonard, Tom Neal, Harry Davenport, Keenan Wynn, Dean Stockwell and Gloria Grahame in supporting roles.

Stopped by 2nd and Charles today as I had a few dollars left on a gift card from there and picked this up for $6... the Titan collection of Archie Goodwin and Walt Simonson's adaptation of Alien. Also picked up Howard the Duck #7 and 8 at a vintage toy store I checked out as well. -M

I think I see some Kamandi's ... Yup! And more... There was a big ole pile of Savage Sword issues (I may be down to less than 10 needed for the run after this, I have to check off what I got to be sure), some Deadly Hands of Kung Fu, Doc Savage magazines, a couple of Frazetta Illustrated mags, a couple of GNs, some Jonny Quest, some Atlas/Seaboard issues, some Red Sonja, a bunch of Kubert Tarzan's, a Hulk Power Record set, and a lot of other miscellaneous stuff. Just reclaimed my chair form under the pile, so now I can start sorting, checking off the want list, etc. -M
