Old single back issues of comics I bought off of amazon Fantastic Four 346 I think. The team is in dinosaur country and the Fantastic Four dont have powers handy or whatever Uncanny X Men 290 Alpha Flight 3, 4 and 5 ALPHA FLIGHT.♡♡♡ Sorry, Byrne's Alpha Flight is kind of my favorite thing.

Apparently accepting Paypal is not required on eBay.Fr as it is in the UK. Are you located in the UK then, junkmonkey? I had no idea. I was only saying the other day in another thread that there were only four of us forum regulars from the UK, but it looks like you make it 5.

But Byrne gets you so sucked into this team while they are in his hands, so by the time he leaves, you are super attached to this awesome, perfectly-flawed team, so no matter who writes them, you're in it for the long haul. Well, that's how it was for me.

And, actually, due to this post reminding me of the Crystar series (which, after checking my collection, is the same one that issue is from, and is the same one that contains Alpha Flight), I started the series last night. So, thanks for that!

So, thanks for that! I'd be interested to know what you think. Crystar was the backup strip in the UK's Star Wars comic for a while back in the early '80s. Personally, I never thought much of it at the time, but I'd be interested to see what a modern reader would make of the series.

Personally, I never thought much of it at the time, but I'd be interested to see what a modern reader would make of the series. I am reading it for the Alpha Flight appearance(s). I liked the first issue, but the second issue was not impressive at all. A bit on the patriarchal garbage side, but I can get past that (because, um, that's most old comics), but it's interesting because there are a few things in there that would not fly in comics today. Apparently, the nice thicker paper was only used for issue #1, probably to draw readers in, because it's not there for #2. It's a shame, too, because art and color always looks better on that paper. In fact, I wish they still used that paper for comics today.

Fantastic Four #346 which I just ordered off on Amazon this Wednesday
It came in the mail today. That was fast lol. It came from Iowa so they deliver fast or something. I'm from south Dakota and typically from other states they take forever to deliver stuff in the mail

If you haven't already I would recommend tracking down the rest of the Walt Simonson run that that issue is from. Great stuff all around and can be found very cheap. The Reed/Doom battle in #352 is AMAZING. Probably the last great F.F. run until the Mark Waid issues years later...though I am very fond of the Defalco/Ryan run that comes after Simonson and I have a soft spot for Claremont's run too.

Not a comic book but I did pick up this John Romita Sketchbook a couple weeks back that has a numbered run of 1000 signed copies by Romita. I have 926/1000. I know the Romita autograph is authentic. It supposedly has a Romita Jr. autograph too that I took a pic of. Real? I don't know. Doesn't matter. It's a great little book.

Mine too. Love it. It's a pity things go downhill so fast once Bryne leaves and Mantlo takes over. Though a do like some aspects of Mantlo's run...though nowhere near as much. Strange how Bryne has said that he hated writing Alpha Flight but he wrote the characters so damn well.

Issue 346 I really needed to finish the dinosaur island story.
Issue 245 I've had for a long long time.
Even though I have one new short box that's already full along with a regular cardboard short box, I need to get at least two more short boxes sometime.
Old Fantastic Four is another old favorite that I'm into where I'm buying single back issues to fill in gaps and/ or to finish up with some minor storylines. Even Fantastic Four Heroes Reborn series I have alot of catching up to
