I think we're going in opposite directions, Icc, as I'm contemplating selling off my Superman and Thor runs right now. Just not feeling the superhero books as much anymore. But there's some really cool stuff in those Thor books particularly.

These are both such great books. I saw Bob Haney on a Silver Age panel at the San Diego Comic Con (late 1990s) and somebody asked him what his favorite story he ever wrote was, and he cited "The Corpse that Wouldn't Die" in The Brave and the Bold #116. He seemed to really enjoy reliving the genesis of the story and he remembered the story in quite a bit of detail.

Today is my four-month anniversary at my current job (yes, I know that anniversary derives from the latin annus, meaning year, and stop snickering Icctrombone ). Nevertheless, my boss informed me today that I am to receive a bonus by virtue of being a salaried employee hired before November 1st of 2016. This was completely unexpected. I've been a working stiff since 1984 and this is the first bonus I've ever received. I feel like Don Draper. It's so. . .adult. Anyway, as promised and quite a bit sooner than I anticipated, here is the result. Amazing Spider-Man #4 in plucky 7.0:

The package was very impressive Ben was feeling his "oats," maybe? Cereal fiction? I feel like we're on the cusp of a good joke here. . .

Recent old comic I got is Superman Man of Steel issue 6 the Bizarro issue.
The Bizarro is perfect. Just a simple clone of Superman. None of the stupid c**p of the other Bizarros later on.

Just received last night from Amazon some new collected classics: From Marvel the Heroes for Hire books 1 and 2 collecting the entire Ostrander/Ferry series. Warren black and white classics collected: Eerie Presents El Cid, Creepy Preents Bernie Wrightson and Creepy Presents Steve Ditko. These Warren books are sooooo damn gorgeous to just look at. Can't wait to dive in and read. Warren was a rarity in my teenage years so i may have seen some of the stories but most will be new reads. Gonzalo Mayo, Wrightson and Ditko doing what they do best, drawing the best horror and fantasy stories they possibly can and blowing your mind! I defy anybody to not enjoy these Warren collections.
