Did some buying and trading today. Got several issues #2, 6, 7, 8 of Machine Man from the 70's. Got a copy of Black Lightning #1 Got the first three issues of Immortal Iron Fist Got several rough copies from the Joker mini series from the 70's. A happy day and some reading to start on tonight! Months ago, I got all the issues of Devil Dinosaur that I missed in the 1970s, and I was thinking of doing the same with Machine Man. I got #1 to #3 when they were new and I read them last year and I was thinking of getting the rest of the Kirby issues soon. And that Joker series - It's great! I think #7 is my favorite appearance of Lex Luthor ever! I enjoyed both Machine Man and the Joker.

I added to my Thor collection with these. That Thor Special reprints the cover of JIM #113, which was the first issue I bought off the newsstand.

I was able to get out yesterday to attend the Basement Sale at New Dimension Comics in Ellwood City, PA, where they have over 500,000 sorted comics, all for just $1. I've been a number of times before and filled long boxes, which is primarily how I was able to compile so many of the extended runs of Marvel books that I own. My goals and wants these days are much smaller, so I only took a short box, which I barely filled halfway, but I'm happy with the books that I managed to pick up.
Invaders #21 - this is a replacement for my original copy, which is pretty beat up. What If? #22, 38, 40, 41, 42 and 46 - I'm just getting into this series now, so I grabbed what they had. Howard the Duck #33 - I now only need 2 more issues, those being #1 and the KISS issue. Marvel Premiere #46 - second half of the Man-Wolf story (I've had the first part for a while) John Carter, Warlord of Mars #11 - first issue of this series I've ever bought, primarily because I think I can flip it for a few bucks on eBay. Midnight Sons Unlimited #1, 3, and 5-9 - I gave these away a couple of years ago to help someone who'd lost her collection, and they were cheap enough to rebuy. Uncanny X-Men #30 and 32 - at the end of the Bendis run, these two buys completed the series, for which I never paid more than $1 for an issue.
Fairest - picked up half the run to complete the series, as I had assembled the other half over the previous six months or so. Didn't pay more than $1 for any of the 33 books in the series. Flash (nu52) #23.1, 23.2, 45 and 48-51 - just filling in as many holes as I can for as cheaply as I can.
The big win of the day was finding a large chunk of the post-Crisis Flash series. I'm not going to list all of the numbers here, but I managed to get 63 issues from this sale, including almost all of the ones I needed from 1-100. Also, just before posting this, I bought a copy of the out-of-print "Blitz" TPB from eBay, which contains the first appearances of Zoom (issues #197-200 go about $100 on eBay); I'm getting issues #191-200 for $33.50, so I'll call that a win and mark another 8 issues off the list, putting me down to just about 20 left to complete the series.

Wow, I am tempted to make the 16 hour drive to Ellwood City, PA! Well, they only do this twice a year, in January and October, so you could easily plan a full trip around it. The fall foliage is lovely here in October, and there's a lot to do in Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas.

I went to a part of town I never go to today, and spotted a Comic Book Shop I've never been too.
I bought Brother Power the Geek #1 only because I see this series mention all the time on here. Hoping it's good! I have no idea what it is.

I still do not have the first 13 issues of the Quality Dredd issues. Or very many of the Eagle ones either. I am jealous. 😺💚 I'm pretty sure I have most of the Eagle issues. They are yours if you want them. They're just sitting in a box and I'm probably never going to read them. PM me if your interested.

You have to take Theta Sigma up on this offer Somnolent Sorceress! Because if you don't, I will!
