I made some more headway on my post-Crisis Flash collection yesterday, picking up issues #43, 174, 179, 182, 201, and 202.
This leaves me just five issues short of having that entire series, although two of those issues are a little pricier than I would have hoped (#108, which is the first appearance of Savitar, and #183, which is the first appearance of the Axel Walker version of the Trickster). Being notoriously cheap, I am probably going to wait until next April when one of the LCS here in town holds their annual anniversary sale, where I can probably pick those up for 40% off what they are asking right now, which will make it a little more palatable.

Thansk for the tip off, junkmonkey ! I've just been down my local newsagents and picked this up myself. £6.99 is a damn good price for all three Ballad of Halo Jones books, with additional material. You're welcome. My thought at seeing it was "F'*gosh all-mighty!*ing' hell! - I'm having THAT!" It was my birthday after all.

Picked this up today, just released this week, a new collection edition of Jack Kirby's Mr. Miracle... collecting all 18 Kirby issues in color. I had the b&w collection of the second half of the run in trade, but this one has the whole run and in color. I am grateful for the push for Kirby's centennial and the push for Tom King's Mr. Mircale series for getting this volume back in print. Now if they would follow up and get the rest of the Fourth World stuff back in print, especially the Jimmy Olsen issues. -M

Specials, trades, and other books that tie in, whether intentional or not (Bug, Mr. Miracle).

I just ordered this for $17. It's listed as 3.0 condition on the point system. So G+ or VG-? I also ordered a few recent comics I missed - a couple of issues of Cerebus in Hell and three or four issues of the current Astro City series.

It's the second appearance of the villain formerly known as Mr. Zero and the first time he is called Mr. Freeze. He seems to be modeled on Otto Preminger's version from the Bat man TV show. Great book!

Great book! It's the first issue in a very long time (since #326) that doesn't have art by either Infantino or Moldoff. So in some small way, the end of an era. Also, the Elongated Man story features the Riddler!

With my recent Luke Cage discussion in the other thread and I decided to purchase this Marvel Masterworks - Luke Cage: Vol. 1-2 today via e-mail to my LCS and they have a copy of it and I'm picking it up at the store this Friday.
