Maybe those 1987 speculators were smoking something.

Starlin's run on Batman coincided when the character started becoming a top seller again for the first time in a long time.

Yup. After the Year One storyline, Batman really took off in popularity concurrent with the movie release.

Got this today in the mail. Yeah, I know I said I would stop... I love that you said you would stop but you can't. My purse strings have been cut so I enjoy living vicariously through people like you.

I'm rationalizing that since I don't eat out everyday for lunch when I work, that overall, I'm saving money. Yeah, that's lame.

And we ALL have rationalized our expenditures at some point. A small happiness during these sad days is not a bad thing in way shape or form...Keep at it Brother of my other mother!

etc etc etc... the only difference is that we're talking about comics instead of booze here. Hey, enjoy it while you can.

I don't know if they still do this but French weeklies ( and I guess monthlies ) would bind runs of their publication as they were printed. I have the complete run of Gotham like this. These Reliure were published once a quarter in the case of Spirou. Essentially four, bound, collected editions a year. This volume 148! which I just bought on eBay le journal de spirou reliure 148 1978 #2073 a #2085

In from ebay this week: Whittling away at the Nocturna/Jason Todd issues, and I got the Marvel book for a Busiek Iron Man story.

I just noticed on the Marvel Super-Heroes cover: Was this meant to depict frog Thor, and the colorist messed up? Checking the interior... I don't see frog Thor.
