Very cool!
I have a couple unopened packs and I have most of them laying flat in a stack on top of one of my boxes. Never really found a better solution.

Leave it in the bag. That's the magic in your memories. Otherwise it's just a Batman comic.

Just acquired this little trip down memory lane in the mail today: I began my back issue collection by acquiring multi-packs of Batman comics, including this very one. I'm almost certain this was one of the first two I bought, having spotted them at Toys R Us in 1989. And now it's mine again. The only question is what to do with it. It's too tall to fit in a standard box. Do I frame it? Is the packaging unpunched? If it is already punched, you could display it on a peg like it was originally in store (I've contemplated mounting a piece of peg board with some pegs to display some of my carded action figures in a manner reminiscent of a store display. If it is not punched and you don't want to punch it, framing is an option, but I might make it a slightly bigger piece by framing it with copies of the other two books in the 3-pack so all the books from it are on display together-or if you don't want to put actual comics in, high res color scanned copies of those covers printed on cardstock framed in with the 3-pack. You could print them smaller so the 3 pack itself is where the eye is drawn. -M

Can I ask what might sound like a weird question, but what is the point of this whole keeping things in mint-condition-unopened-in-the-packaging-unread thing? I really don't get it. It's a comic book. It was meant to be read!

You should always open your books to read them . But the point of the books that Shax acquired was that it was a childhood memory and not really a valuable book.

In the past few weeks, I've gotten the Last Hero Standing and Last Planet Standing miniseries, because I've decided to incorporate them into my Spider-Girl binge read.
Also, I was never good at figure out how to post pics here, and then Tiny Pic (or whatever it was called) closed. But there's a nice comic I splurge on back in mid-March: a copy of the Uncanny X-Men #142, the second part of Days of Future Past! Way back when I got the thin TPB that just reprints #141-142, but I was disappointed to learn years later that the last page of #142 is omitted from that TPB. I want to have the whole issue. Rather than getting a different TPB that has the whole story, I decide to try to get the original comic off Ebay. I got a good, solid copy for a little over $20, including shipping.

I do like your idea of framing it with my other copies of those books. Thanks!

So this is the copy of Uncanny X-Men 142 I purchased. No, it didn't come in this paper bag. It was in a magazine-size bag, so I've since put it in a bag and board from another comic in my collection.

Of course, if I had Action Comics #1, that baby might not see the light of day.

It's a comic book. It was meant to be read! Normally I’d agree with this completely. However, in this case I wouldn’t. The entire point of this is that it’s an intact three-pack. Taken out of the pack these are extremely pedestrian comics that are bargain bin fodder. They aren’t being purchased for the purpose of reading them but for the nostalgia value of the packaging.
