I bought the Book One TPB of the Grant Morrison run of Doom Patrol, reprinting #19-34. I started a binge read of Doom Patrol from the beginning a few days ago, and I had already bought just about everything that comes before Morrison.
I also, bought the Deathlok the Demolisher TPB that reprints the early Luther Manning appearances of Deathlok. I had a few of these issues, but some of the ones I didn't have are pricy and I liked the convenience.
I also bought Fantastic Four #218, which is from the run that Byrne drew but did not write, before the big run where he did both. I also bought Web of Spider-Man #29 guest starring Wolverine, because the cover of my old copy was almost falling off and this copy was in the 50 cent box.

I'm just glad you said "comics", and not "Jell-o". Of course not Jell-o. The preferred choice of millions is pudding, chocolate or banana or butterscotch the best,though Tapioca is an allowable substitute...😜

Even the 2004 reprint (6 volumes) lacks a couple of pages from issue 23; they only recovered 3 final pages which were also missing in the original 90's TPB. What a mess.

Even the 2004 reprint (6 volumes) lacks a couple of pages from issue 23; they only recovered 3 final pages which were also missing in the original 90's TPB. What a mess. Yup, it's Book 1 of 3. I didn't realize earlier TPBs were missing pages. Glad I got complete stories. Do you know why other TPBs were missing pages? Was it just printing errors? Were they censored in reprint for some reason?

I'm a sucker for 70's Marvel monster books so I picked up the Morbius The Living Vampire Omnibus. Some of it is hit n miss, but I love the stuff either written by Steve Gerber or drawn by Gil Kane here. Specifically the first 5 issues of his solo series in Adventures Into Fear is fun - early art by Gulacy & P Craig Russell, and goofy weird stories.
FYI - I'm not that excited about the upcoming Morbius movie since the trailers make it look like an origin story, and damn am I bored of comic book movies that are origins. I think at this point you can just throw viewers into a fantastic story w/o going into long drawn out reasons for there to be super powered folks about. It be like giving every spy movie or action movie main guy an origin. "Hmmm - how can I accept knowing this action movie character knows how to fight and shoot a gun unless I get an hour long origin?"

Got this Thor in the Local Place in NJ. The spine has issues and tape, otherwise it would be about a 5 in grade. For 7 bucks I took the chance.

Were they censored in reprint for some reason? The original "Crawling From the Wreckage" was probably intended as a standalone, so they deleted the pages where the following storyline was introduced. When they rolled out the 2004 edition though, they only noticed the 3 pages at the end of their respective issues, missing the central pages for #23. Quite the boo-boo.

Received last night over 5 days later thanks to snail mail during this Covid affair (sounds like an old tv show: this episode The Covid Virus Afgair) from MyCpmicshop.com.
Bunch of Kamandi after Kirby left. Since have the Omnibus wanted the rest. Just a need to wait on cost for final issue. Kamandi 41, 42. 43. 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 52, 52, 53.
Captain Savage finally pulled the trigger on getting the final issues to complete the run. Waited and broke my$5 rule for back issues as these all cost $8. Splurged on myself. Issues 14, 15, 16, 17, 19.
One final order coming which is my last one since going to be unemployed & job hunting. Post once it arrives this cpming week.

My Comic Shop order sent Jun. 2nd still hasn't made it here... this could be a new record. Hope it gets here this week! Also have two comics from Cali mailed Jun 12th still not here either. I wonder if they are quarantining parcels? Even so others from other states have been making it up within two or three weeks, but TX and CA seem very slow. I get things faster from Europe. The BF had a CD take three months from Japan though, it's just the way things are these days.
I took the plunge on Spider-Woman (Byrne/Sears, #1-6) and also on Spider-Girl (M2, #1-4)... anyone got a Spider-Girl #0 (1998, reprinting What If #105) reasonable? I guess it's not essential though, if I never get to read it I expect I'm fine. I'm also going to give A-Next and J2 a try. So far the only thing M2 I have gotten is a Wizard Wild Thing #0 and it was fun.

I wonder if they are quarantining parcels? Not if they travel Priority, but "First Class"? Forget about that. I've decided not to order from LS or anyone else using that for the foreseeable future. I do have one from MH that ships this week. They still seem to have a reliable line of transport.
