I figured out it's often better sometimes to pay for exactly what you really do want than to spend the same amount on a lot of something else you aren't sure of just because it's on sale. If the lovely pepperoni and black olive pizza is $10 and the meh mushroom and green pepper is three for $10, I will still go for the pepperoni and olives.

When craving baked goodness much rather visit the small hole in the wall donut shop, pay a bit more for better tasting doughy goodness than hitting a franchise or grocery store. Prefer the family run Chinese shop across the street from my house than any Chinese Buffett. 😁

True enough - but my semi-random 'anything Vertigo' thing is going into a restaurant, looking down the menu and thinking "I have no idea what that is... but it sounds yummy".

I remember buying everything Pacific, First and Epic put out just on their imprint for awhile, and most of what Eclipse would publish too.

Man, I was buying a lot of stuff in the 90’s. Particularly The Malibu Ultraverse Books. It’s cool to be excited for a comic line.

I tried to get into the Impact! line recently but I guess it failed to keep me interested after six Fly, eight Jaguar, and one Crusaders (although I might still pick up Crusaders #2-3 or 4 someday)... hoping the M2 line will fare better with me.

Spider-Girl by itself should keep you occupied for awhile. It's really fun.

O BOY! An Identity Crisis tie-in!
(That was sarcasm. Identity Crisis is a "love letter to the Silver Age" for people who don't know what a love letter is or when the Silver Age was.)

Glad to see the Flash love brother Icc! I put Flash as my #1 favorite singular hero series. I was collecting ALL those Wally West's fresh off the LCS shelf at the time. When I was dropping stuff it was one of the few to always remain on my pull list.

When I was dropping stuff it was one of the few to always remain on my pull list. The first 18 issues is my favorite part of the 247 series. Mike Baron and Jackson Juice made it great.

This Sunday I went to PA to visit my grandson for the first time since they moved there and we visited a Comic shop called " Comics on the Green " in Scranton PA. Nice shop and they had 50% off on most of their back issues. I picked up 10 Flash comics for the 1987 series. This makes it only 11 more for me to complete the 247 issue series. Best of luck, my friend. I got close on this series in floppies, then bought one TPB to cover the issues from #192-200 or so due to the excessive cost. Still don't own #92 (first Impulse) and never will; I actually read the entire series while skipping the one issue I didn't have and was OK with it, as I didn't feel like I was missing anything.

I finally found an affordable copy of which arrived today. For some reason, I cannot fathom, this book just seems to cost more than the ones surrounding it. I finally found a UK seller with a copy that was cheaper than I have seen it anywhere (once you had factored in international postage). No 25 is on its way from France as I type - so that's me filled a gap and I have 1 - 27 (albeit in varying editions). Only 10 more to get (to date) and then I can seriously start work on the 23 volumes of Les Mondes De Thorgal...

I forgot to share my latest haul video showing some of the stuff I have bought recently, and then I accidentally put it in the wrong thread. But in this one I get one of those "Run Killers" and pay far more than I have ever paid for a comic I don't necessarily care that much about. Ah, the pitfalls of collecting complete runs.
