Like say Night Nurse, has any of those DC romance or other characters crossed over and been used in any DC super hero comics? Did they have regular features and repeating characters? Well, as far as the Night Nurse crossover, I wouldn't say that it isn't so much a crossover, as an homage character. In the Daredevil storyline, Night Nurse is never referred to by name of "Linda Carter" (her name in the original Night Nurse series). Instead, she is just referred to as "The Night Nurse." Also, the original Night Nurse was (very) blonde, and that is not how she is portrayed at all in Daredevil. Of course, hair color can easily be changed, and fiction can be just about anything you want it to be... so, I suppose that if Jane Foster can be Thor, then Daredevil's Night Nurse could in fact be Linda Carter.
As far as DC goes, I don't recall any crossovers into any of the DC hero universes, but I can't say for sure. However, to the second question regarding ongoing or repeating characters, the answer is a definitive "YES". The book that I posted a couple of posts back is the first appearance of "The Life and Loves of Lisa St. Claire", who's adventures ran for several issues in the Young Love title. Before her, there was "The Private Diary of Mary Robin, RN" in the same title. There was also Bonnie Taylor, a globe-trotting flight attendant (then known as a "stewardess") who ran for many issues in DC's Young Romance.
There may have been others, but those all come to mind right away. If Crimebuster sees this, he may be able to chime in with more.

Waited over a month to finally get this. The seller wanted 12.99 and I offered 9 dollars and got it. Low grade but intact. Still killin' it with the vintage Thor, I see... 👍

I'm not aware of any of the DC romance characters being used anywhere since their titles ended, but there were a number of ongoing DC soap opera strips. As previously mentioned, Young Love featured Mary Robin RN in issues #39-52, and then Lisa St. Claire in #68-78. Young Romance featured stewardess Bonnie Taylor in issues #126-139. Secret Hearts starred advice columnist Amy Ames, who often didn't heed her own advice, in #96-109. Then, in the next issue, the ongoing ensemble soap opera "Reach for Happiness" began, running from #110-138! At 29 issues, this is DC's longest running serial. It also ran longer than just about any other series DC launched in the mid 60's. Heart Throbs had another ensemble soap opera called "3 Girls - Their Lives, Their Loves" which ran for 22 issues from #102-123. Both "Reach for Happiness" and "3 Girls" were written by the same person, writer/editor Barbara Friedlander. Girls' Love Stories featured starlet April O'Day from #104-116 (I think?). The only ones that I don't think had any long running characters were Girls' Romances and Falling in Love. As for Night Nurse, to piggy back off what tartanphantom said, while it's true Linda Carter sported blonde hair in the Bronze Age, she actually first appeared in 1960 in her own title, Linda Carter: Student Nurse. And in her original appearances as a student nurse, she had black hair, so it seems the blonde was the dye job, not the other way around. The opening page pf Night Nurse #1 makes it clear it's the same Linda Carter, as she is graduating from nursing school when the issue begins. She also has the honor of being in the first "Marvel Universe" crossover - she appeared in Patsy Walker #99 one month after Fantastic Four #1 came out.

In addition to all the titles already mentioned in other posts, there was also a 6-issue serial/arc featuring the characters Jewel and April Heyward in Girls' Love Stories, from #147-152. It was called "Confessions." I think I had an issue or two of this.
Back in the day when I couldn't find one of my superhero comics on the stands I'd buy a romance comic or two instead. Well I quickly became hooked on the serials and in particular Heart Throbs and the 3 Girls saga became a must-buy for me. Also I regularly bought Secret Hearts for the Reach for Happiness soap.
There was an interesting 4-part story called "20 Miles to Heartbreak" (Alex Toth pencils!) that crossed over/took place in two separate comics. Part 1 was in Young Love #78, then the story moved over to Secret Hearts for a couple of issues, then back to the next issue of Young Love #79 for the conclusion.

I have a bit of a tale to share with a recent ebay purchase- Last week a copy of Fantastic Four # 112 went up for auction but no one was bidding on it nor even watching it, although the price was pretty good. The only two images that the seller posted was the cover and the back cover. This is a picture of the back cover. I gambled and placed a bid and won it. I was the only bidder. It arrived today in this envelope. No hard cardboard to keep it from being bent, and it was placed in this manilla envelope When I opened the book I found it to be in G/ G+ shape despite some cover issues. I almost can't believe it wasn't bent on route to my house. The Captain, this is the book I wrote to you about.

Icctrombone - I can't believe it was shipped in such a poor manner. That was just begging to show up at your doorstep mangled beyond identification. That said, it isn't horrible, and that price was pretty decent.

I'm tired of paying any more for these books.

It's been a month, but I'm not done yet. Over the last couple of weeks, I've gotten 10 parcels from different sellers and I'm still waiting on one more. (There's this shop that first needs to restock). July 21st. From the UK, ordered on the 13th: I've been going back and forth on this one. As with many other classic comics, I decided to include most of PAD's run on PPTSSPM, in the collection expansion. July 21st. From Germany, ordered on the 14th: Ditto for Walter Simonson's FF and Star Brand (Shooter/JRJR as well as Byrne's). The first Stern ASM was also included, for the shake of completion. To note, this eBay seller is one of those few for whom NM still means exactly that. July 27th. From the UK, ordered on the 18th: An early Sabertooth appearance made buying this from an eBay seller cheaper, even with postage, about 7€. Great condition. July 27th. From Germany, ordered on the 21st: Not very fast for the price (private agency, DPD). The ASM had the wrong cover on the original Silver Acre purchase, but I've given up on this guy, so I swallowed the 14.67€ they charged for a "new" copy. Fortunately, it meant NM, as well as the USM ones which complete the Immonen run on the title (the rest below). July 28th. From the UK, ordered on the 22nd: Tied, for best price/speed ratio postage, with my 2nd buy from way back in March. £3.50 and less than a week. The comic itself was an auction won for £20.00, tied with another bidder who jumped on the action later. It was graded as FN+, but I'd say it looks better than that.

August 3rd. From the UK, ordered on the 24th: Another cursed issue (just behind X-Men #137). I saw my order cancelled twice from two different vendors. I finally went with this cheap, low graded copy, which wasn't that cheap due to postage, obviously. August 3rd. From Barcelona, ordered on the 28th (next day delivery, but took 3 days to ship): Except for #50 (which I already have in the FF Byrne Omnibus) I think this all I wanted with this series which wasn't already accounted for. August 4th. From Amazon, ordered on the 30th: I hope the really complete the Aaron collection. Volume 3 hasn't even been announced and I'm thinking they're going to need at least a total of five, so we're a long way from finished. Both the Spanish and the American versions can't be found at reasonable prices, so original one it is. August 4th. From Mile High, ordered on the 7th. Two of the four weeks were for processing, Asendia is the best for overseas delivery, hands down: The only Conway scripted comic in my collection. Other than the art, the main attraction is the early Wonder Man appearance. He was probably the most intersting Avenger back then. The bulk of the Immonen run (not going after the Ultimatum-interlaced issues).

Holy cow, Ozymandias, you just posted 92 separate images of comics you bought. 92 images! That takes a helluva lot of scrolling to get through and also makes for long page loading times (not everyone who browses here is necessarily on broadband). That really is overkill, I'm afraid. Five or six images with 15 or so comics in each picture would be plenty. We don't need a close up of every comic you've bought in an almost 100 comic lot.

The one on the right sports a great cover by Jose Luis Garcia Lopez before he went to DC. they messed it up a little with that text box, but later reprinted the cover without the box. Either way, great Garcia Lopez art!

Romance books are such a breath of fresh air when you get bored with the same old cliche' super heroes vs. super baddie stories. Yes, the can be cheesy and a the material a bit dated, but occasionally you'll find somewhat mature content slipping through... I have a feeling that the Comics Code guys got a little lax with some of the romance titles, particularly in the 1970's. Nice little haul, Icctrombone! Props on the Tarzan, too!
