Geoff Johns, Chief Creative Officer of DC Entertainment, gave an update on the project on social media today. The one-hour live-action drama would focus on younger superheroes in the DC Comics universe. The series would center on Dick Grayson, the former Robin, who emerges from Batman’s shadow to become Nightwing and the leader of a fearless band of heroes who include Starfire and Raven. Akiva Goldsman and Marc Haimes will serve as exec producer and co-exec producer, respectively, with Warner Horizon Television producing.

Marv Wolfman has chimed in. My pal, Neo Edmund, alerted me to this just breaking article. May I say woo and HOO! Let me say before anyone asks, I know nothing about the pilot or anything else. But based on DC's amazing TV track record I'm really looking forward to seeing what they do.

I read that Goyer said it's Junior Justice League-style, so young adult as opposed to, say, Young Justice.

In the past 3-5 years - I have never, ever witness(es) an explosion of superhero related shows and I'm having a hard time keeping count of this.

All I know is that they better use Donna Troy in this Titans show or I'm probably not interested. I don't like Starfire so that's already one strike against this show.

Speedy/ Arsenal/ Junkie Lad is already on Arrow. I imagine Kid Flash will be kept out as well. Cyborg is off with the JLA these days. I think they'd be able to do a Donna Troy that isn't "Wonder Girl" so maybe she's still a possibility. Beast Boy and Aqualad could be available in some form as well.
Nightwing, Raven and Starfire cover a lot of ground by themselves and I can't see the regular team being more than five at the start. It will be interesting to see if they go with the usual suspects or go get someone like Vixen or the Jaime Reyes version of Blue Beetle to fill out the team.

Static would be incredible and great if they could pull it off.
Minority diversity, already well known and received character, adding to ratings boost.
Not holding my breath though.

Beast Boy would be tough on the budget for a TV show... and if they've already got Raven and Starfire, I'm guessing no Donna(that's alot of women)... but that should would be awesome. I just hope this isn't a live version of the cartoon (even the original, which is pretty good). I'm thinking Raven will be the race/nationality change.
TBH, I'm not sure who they'd use... maybe the WOULD use Arsenal to tie it in to Arrow (Flash is crossing over, after all). Is Deathstroke on TV anywhere? I shudder to think what they'd do to him, buy Jericho would be pretty awesome.
If they're thinking Junior Justice League, and they're actually going to mention Batman, some sort of Superman character is likely, too... Natasha Irons, maybe? That runs into the more women than usual thing again. Couldn't be Superboy.. I don't know.. should be interesting to see how it develops.

Dick Grayson as Robin (not Nightwing)
Donna Troi as Wonder Girl
Wally West as Kid Flash
Roy Harper as Speedy
Garth as Aqualad
Victor Stone as Cyborg
Garfield Logan as Beast Boy
Rachel Roth as Raven
Koriand'r as Starfire
Conner Kent as Superboy
Plus, 2 secondary Titans as rotating members and I live whatever they brings us. But, it has to have these 10 Titans to make it work and I prefer that the show can feature 5 to 7 of these characters at a time to keep the show fresh and relevant.
It's originally had Terra on the list - I took her out for good riddance.

Starfire(killed off in the 1st episode)

Donna Troy
Superboy(Conner Kent)
Aqualad(Khaldur)
