4 issue series from Topps I liked seeing the next generation working on Kirby's stuff. Thanks for posting it ... I might want to hunt for it!

Sure MG
I bought all those Topps comics when they came out, just cause I love Kirby so much.
They were kinda quaint in that early 70's way.

Ron Frenz Kirby tribute Not sure who the bottom guy on the left is though It appears these are all DC or indie characters No Marvel. hmmmm ? Less chance of attracting legal action that way ? LOL The guy at bottom left looks to me like Ben Boxer from KAMANDI. Yes, I think you're right. Haven't read Kamandi in probably 30 years. Thanks gothos !

Sometimes I think Kamandi is a candidate for BEST COMIC BOOK EVER!!!
I even like the post-Kirby issues! (I sometimes wonder if the movie the coyotes were making in #41 and #42 is a cult classic on Kamandi's world.)

More Eternals spreads, surprisingly to me there wasnt one in every issue, but how can you look at these and not drool. Look at that danged Celestial, I hate how every man and his dog has beaten one up lately, there just shouldnt be anyone who could. Period.

4 issue series from Topps I liked seeing the next generation working on Kirby's stuff. Yep, and as I should have mentioned earlier, but this comic is the one that I scanned those 8 Kirby pages from. Thanks for posting this hondo!

It occurs to me coming back to this page, just how nice the colouring is on these pages, which were from a digital source. Thoughts, are the purists out there hating me for "ruining" Jack, or do they look OK to you too ?

I still prefer the original colours, but I find on the computer screen the digital colours look good - much better than they do on the printed page, if that makes any sense to anyone.
Also, I think there's something about Kirby's 70s art that works better with the modern, computer colours than his 60s work does. A recoloured page from Thor or the FF doesn't work for me nearly as well as these Eternals pages do, even on the computer screen.

Cool, glad I'm getting it right. pakehafulla, I just love all of your fantastic posts ... thanks for sharing it! Well gosh, I'm blushing kind sir... Its really just a case of grabbing all the double page spreads from Kamandi and Eternals, plus a few splash pages, to showcase the power of his work. Just seeing the pages together, at a decent size reinforces his talent in my mind.
