I'm going to check it out next Friday and what I have seen in the preview that you've provided here - I'm getting a little nervous about the way the art is being presented here and I have a funny feeling that it's might not do so well. I do like Meredith's writing and some of David's art - but the layout of the pictures and all that isn't so promising at all. For the preview alone - it's scares me. I'm very concerned about this.

What's wrong with the presentation of the art? I think it's highly detailed and dramatic. It's carries the story well.

What's wrong with the presentation of the art? I think it's highly detailed and dramatic. It's carries the story well. In the 2nd panel - the scene is overpowering and too dramatic to me and I just wanted to share that. I'm a bit nervous about the direction and I want this book to do well. But, I need time before I pass final judgement on this book. I just wanted to share that. I'm going to retract some of the things that I said but I can see some things that I can't put a finger on that can lead some disappointments to the fans of Wonder Woman. Some of the art do look good - but I think they need to lighten up a bit more instead making it dark and moody here.

Ok, this turned me off again.
I'm sitting back taking a wait and see attitude, but I'm not hopeful.

I think it looks fantastic. This is easily Finch's best art. Much better than his JLA or Forever Evil work. The preview pages are incredibly detailed and have a very epic and majestic feel to them. The birds alone are a masterpiece. Then there's the old crone, while hideous, looks scary enough to be a super-villain in her own right.
