Moebius/Jean Giraud question: I'd like to start looking into his work beyond Blueberry and the Incal. I'd prefer the French editions but which collections? I think there is some overlap. I have quite a few Moebius books and I would recommender this one. www.bedetheque.com/BD-Moebius-oeuvres-L-OEuvre-hermetique-370187.htmlIt contains everything he did for Métal hurlant and I think a couple more stories. GREAT book. Expensive I if remember correctly but well worth the price.

For my money, L'empire des mille planètes remains the finest SF comic story ever. My thanks to fellow CCF member antoine for trading his copy of Terre en flammes, the original (and longer) version of La cité des eaux mouvantes, which I had first seen a looooong tome ago in an issue of Pilote, read while I accompanied my mom at the laundromat. Such memories are worth gold. I did? I don't even remember that haha! Was never a fan of Valérian when I was younger but after I heard the news a few days ago, I thought I'd give it another try. Glad you are enjoying it!

Marvel Super-Heroes #15 is such a great book! That awesome Gene Colan art! I've never seen this book before and add it to my list as soon as I saw it in this thread! Great cover!

The first CGC books have entered the challenge!! I hate CGC books, not even sure why I have some. I'll gladly trade whatever I have for non-graded comics ! : )

We went back. These were more expensive, but still a good deal, so I had to get them. Obviously, as an Archie fan, I had to have Mad #12 for my collection! These are amazing. Are they comic sized? EDIT : There was a french magazine in Québec called Safarir (like Mad or Cracked) who did an Archie parody in the 90's. You might need it for your collection! You can see images of the parody here : www.ebay.com/itm/383117873050

Wow.. Epics at Ollies?? That's exciting, and I do have the day off tomorrow... Last year I found some Star Wars Epic Collection at Dollarama (store where nothing cost more than 4$ Canadian). They always have DC and Marvel TPB, some HC, but the Epic Collection I couldn't believe it.

That Charlton Premiere - "Children of Doom" is considered the best thing Charlton ever published and one of the best single-issue comics of all time. Just readit. Really enjoyed it (some great art, loved the black and white panels scattered through the story and the full black and white page is awesome). Now is it the best single-issue of all time? Far from it : )

Great pickups there. I'd love to get that Three Nurses! And you're in for a serious treat with the Sinister House of Secret Love story - its a full length giant size Gothic thriller with art by the best of the best, Alex Toth! Yeah I am Excited for this one! Got a few books to finish first but it's at the top of the pile!

Love the hair on that blonde on the cover of Ozark Ike. I had never heard of that series before, but it is in surprisingly good condition for a comic from 1949, and for only 7$ I thought I'd give it a shot!

For the first time last night, I PAID to go buy some comics. I'm really not a fan of that, but there was some kind of holiday comic con 10 minutes from my place and I thought I'd give it a try. I was really disappointed, most vendor are not comics dealer but pop culture related. There was maybe 6 or 7 comics dealers, a couple with almost only CGC stuff, which I don't like. One of the dealer had about a dozen long boxes. Only two were open. I opened the third one (they were on the table) and he said "oh sorry the closed boxes all need to be re-priced". I don't understand why you'd go to a show and reprice your stuff there. Anyway.... Find only ONE dealer who had comics other than recent Marvel/DC/Whatever is popular nowadays. Oh well! I'll know not to go next time! Still found some (kinda expensive) books I was interested in

Wow thank you so much! Mine is complete! I was puzzled because it doesn't say 'the end' at the end of the book and on mycomicshop it says the book has 36 pages. Mine has 36 but it's including a double cover.
I also felt the story ended abruptly : )
Thanks again Cody and MDG!
