I bought the sega mega drive mine not to long ago. Not a bad way to go if you want to play some games relatively easily and cheaply. Some good games on that

All those keys are giving me a flashback to when I used to work in a hardware store and made copies of keys for people. We did have a few superheroe ones but mostly just the symbols, mainly DC heroes. Otherwise animal and The Simpsons keys were always more popular.

Does anyone else have books/runs that they are not actively collecting NOW but want to do so in the future? And I am not talking next month or so, but maybe even years in the future?
I started thinking about it because my girlfriend and I currently live in an apartment but is planning on buying a house in the next year or two. Hopefully that means we will have more space to store things which has been a major problem in our current apartment and one of the reasons I have avoided buying to many new physical books. I have quite a few seres that I want to have in single issue format but I dont really want to much cluster right now. Especially since I will likely have to move it in the not so distance future.

I have been half digital and half physical for a few years now. For reading modern comics something like marvel unlimited is great. But in the end, like with movies or records , I am always going to want to have my favorite in physical format. But as a “I just want to read this or check it out” its great. Forinstance after reading a Marvel epic collection I am able to go to unlimited and read what comes after. This suits my jut fine until the next collection comes out. Then there are some things like 0,99$ (or 1,09 € for us here in Europe) where you can get things very cheaply. Sometimes even whole 300 + pages collections for that price.

As an outsider watching in on the US it very much feels like a case of “what has happened today” instead of “ has anything happened” now more thene ever.

Currently I am reading through a couple of different series. Asterix is being published in Danish again in big hardcovers with two stories pr book. My grilfriend gave me the first two for christmas and another just as a random gift a couple of weeks ago. I am really enjoying reading these. Some of them I have read before but some of them are brand new to me. Besides that I am reading Akira for the first time. And lastly I am reading through the big complete collections of Elf Quest. I am on volume 5 of these. Good stuff.

I have all of the current big consoles for this generation, X1, PS4 and Nintendo switch. I know I am going to buy the new Xbox when it comes out. Its loking like its going to be mostly backwards compariteble with current games and I have a lot I still havent played. I could wait to buy a new one but my current one is the original x1 model, so not one of the improved slim or x versions, and its really on its last leg now so I might as well buy the new one when it comes out. I did not buy my PS4 until last year, and I am going to wait just as long to buy the the next one.

As a Dane I get really tired of people, cough Americans cough, who think “Scandinavia” is a country. It is not... There I said it! Hey, plenty of Americans think New Mexico is part of Old Mexico. After all, this is a country that has stopped teaching geography in many areas because kids don't test well in it. That's an American solution if ever there was one! Besides, everyone knows that Scandinavia is a county in Minnesota!

I think most of what I picked up about modern Denmark (or rather Denmark form a decade ago) and Copenhagen came from the Steve Berry Cotton Malone thrillers, many of which were set there as the protagonist owned a bookstore in Copenhagen. Now, how accurate they were, I am not sure, but the scenes often involved tourist spots and markets, museums, etc. But I have always thought of Scandanavia as a geographic region, like the Balkans, or the Iberian peninsula, but one that referred to the areas where Norse culture had once been dominant-Denmark, Norway, Iceland and parts of Sweden (though all of Sweden is part of Scandanavia), with Finland being lumped in with it because it is in the same geographic landmass, but having its own unique cultural history distinct form Norse culture (I discovered the Finnish mythology and pantheon of gods in my copy of Gods, Demigods & Heroes for D&D and Deities & Demigods for AD&D which fascinated me and helped me understand the Finns were not actually part of the Norse culture in the region). However, I am sure my understanding is filled with flaws and in error in parts, and probably laughable to natives of the region. -M You seem to have a very good understanding of it. My problem is mainly how a lot of people seem to not understand that we are talking about seperate countries with very differnet traditions, laws and history. Politically speaking forinstance Norway is not even part of the European Union which means a lot in regards to trade and traveling. Luckily Denmark, Sweden and Norway have an agreement which makes traveling between the three a easier. Which is lucky for me since my sister and her family lives in Norway.

I have to admit that all I know about Denmark is Lars Ulrich and that it's not called Scandinavia. Thats completely fair. That is one of the things some people known. Maybe they have heard about Hans Christian Andersen and his fairytales too. Oh and although not that many people really know it Lego is Danish too. (Lego= Leg godt= “play good/well”. )

While I won't say I know what all is in the Scandinavian sub-region I know Denmark is. And thanks to a Danish guy I play Warframe with on occasions, I now know, thanks to his passionate history lesson, what Americans call cheese danishes are not actually of Danish origin. What we call danishes in the US are wienerbrød and are Austrian in origin. If you ask for a danish in Denmark it won't be the same thing. You are completely right.

I made another video chronicling my back issues purchases. Mostly romance, Archie, and Patsy Walker: I really have enjoyed your videos. Romance comics is a genre in comics I know very little about so it is very interesting to hear about it and see some of the different issues/series that`s out there.

Those are the ones I'm thinking of... I have 3 of the 4 of them, and they are definitely NOT in continuity. If they were meant to be, they epically failed. Diamond isn't who would be selling them... they need to be with Ingram and Baker and Taylor if book stores are going stock them properly.. I know they have the channel, because when I worked for a book store Ingram was selling Marvel and DC trades. To be honest, I think alot of the evils of the industry can be traced to attempting to appease Diamond. Dont know about the Thanos ones since I never read them, but the avengers and Spider-man OGNs are definitely in continuity. Characters and plots points have been referenced several times. Also to ad to the debate: Yeah it often makes sense to print the single issues first. Often the sheer volume what a no. 1 can, not will but can, sell is enough for them to do it. On top of that there are the rare case like Ms.Marvel where the series actually takes off.

I i have not seen it but I am going to. This is yet another example of a Danish actor playing a villian. If you are a Danish actor and you get an international role there is a veeeery good chance it is as a villian. Mads Mikkelsen in Casino Royal, Docter Strange and the Hannibal Lector tv series being prominent examples. I promise you guys we are not all evil! I'm sure you're not! Any other examples? It is a tad disconcerting (I say that in a humorous way). Jesper Christensen as Mr white in the Craig Bond movies. Lars Mikkelsen, Mads Mikkelsen`s brother, plays the villian in season 3 of the BBC Sherlock series and Grand Admiral Thrawn in Star wars Rebels. There are other examples, but to be fair there are people like Nikolaj Coster-Waldau who also has more heroic roles.
