Here to be sad along with everyone else. I had the pleasure of meeting Kevin Conroy when he came to a signing at a WB Store (remember those?) in Atlanta in 2000. He couldn't have been nicer, graciously allowed us to shoot video of our interaction, gave thoughtful answers to every question.
A long line snaked throughout the store and Mr. Conroy gave his full and unhurried attention to each fan. Just a swell guy.

. . .the first story signed "GHASTLY" was Horror, Head...It Off! in TFTC 27. Great work! Crypt 27, eh? I don't think I've read that story. Or I just don't remember it. Something to search for tomorrow.

I'll check the EC FB group and will probably get an answer pretty quickly. Awesome, thanks! I believe it's Haunt of Fear #10 (1951), in the story "Grave Business."

Manilow was a punch-line in my younger days, but after I matured a little, I happened to see him twice in the '90s with my wife, and he put on a pretty good show. It was definitely worth the price of admission. Surprisingly, he didn't skimp on the decibels. For a couple of years in my youth I was listening to Manilow's work every day, consciously because my mother was a fan, and unconsciously through his insanely catchy jingles for Band-Aid ('Cause Band-Aid's stuck on me), State Farm (Like a good neighbor) and others. In spite of that, or maybe because of it, I've never been a fan.

I am on a break from Marvel (a long break). I read something about a company called Alterna Comics recently. Sounds intriguing. This, in particular, looks good: It's better than bad; it's good!😜

Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins sound almost exactly alike, there, I said it... They don't sound quite that similar to my ears, but I do love the way their voices blend on a number of Gabriel-era Genesis tracks, particularly The Carpet Crawlers and Supper's Ready. For me, it's definitely a case of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts. Those harmonies are transcendent.

At the end of Defenders #16, Magneto and his evil mutant band were turned into squalling infants. Terrible.

A fine actor. I enjoyed his portrayals of Thurgood Marshall, James Brown and T'Challa. This truly is the darkest timeline.
