I have zero interest in watching a youtube video of someone talking at me about... anything really. I'll take an article any day, videos take too long, and 1/2 to 2/3 of them are generally identifying themselves, begging for views (I know why, I just am not interested in participating in that economy), etc.
I'll watch things I need for instruction (fixing small things around the house, board game demos/instructions, etc) but that's it... and even then there's alot of hopping around to find the content and skip the nonsense
There, I said it.

heh, yeah, me either... he just sort of re-appeared. That's what happens when you have so many reboots I guess.

Adventures of Superman #1Written by Tom Taylor Art by Clayton Henry Summary: Ultraman is traveling the Multiverse killing Superman and it's up to Val-Zod, Red Tornado( Earth 2 Lois Lane) and Jon Kent to stop him. Plot: I'd much rather this book be called Superboy or Teen of Steel...but DC didn't ask me; that aside though the ongoing adventures of Jon Kent continue to be a fun although light read. I say light because we've already seen this plot of a multiversal threat going from universe to universe killing the heroes as they go and there's nothing new added to that trope here. On top of that the threat itself is Ultraman, and he beats the various Superman because he has a device that weakens Kel-Els...but he himself is an alternate Kal-El so one would think such a device would weaken him too. But that aside the plot is slick, and despite the multiversal mayhem the tone is upbeat so it's still an adventure worth reading. Art: Clayton Henry's art has a great cinematic look to it that really gives the whole book a suitably epic scale. His action is tightly paced, his figures are smooth and there's a real sense of weight to the characters that makes the punches really feel like they're landing. Grade:7/10 Seems like maybe this ISN'T Jon getting sucked into the Injustice universe (or maybe it still will be).. weird it was marketed that way. I think it would be weird to call it Superboy... I personally think of Conner as Superboy.. and the silver Clark Kent as a boy stories 2nd. Jon is Jon Kent, not Superboy to me.

I don't think I liked Nightcrawlers as much as Dizzy D did.. I really just want to read Spurrier's normal book.. it hasn't be around long enough for an alternate universe version to really tickle my fancy. It's decent though.. I definitely like Spurrier alot.

I've never had any interest in either slice of life comics, or sparsely illustrated ones with no backgrounds, so Optic Nerve would definitely not be for me. Looking forward to what other manga you read though ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) I'm re-reading Spidey 2099 right now for my 90s fix.

This will shock no one: ![](https://files1.comics.org//img/gcd/covers_by_id/7/w400/7899.jpg?6895647971214458778) Excluding some of the other picks in the thread, 2nd would probably be: ![](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQXLx6YaZ2ie_jGAza2yGqJTs2sTwxdf1QNMw&usqp=CAU)

I loved the Ducktales cartoon when it was coming out, but seeing Launchpad in a comic seems wrong to me.

Just to add to Codystarbuck's point... Stan Lee post Marvel Silver Age most definitely could have got someone to give him an advance for a novel if he asked, I'm sure. I don't know too much about it, but based on Bullpen Bulletins, he was a busy guy doing everything else BUT writing a novel.

'Micro League' was one of the first computer sports game companies.. I definitely had micro league baseball... that wrestling one is intriguing... I wonder what sort of engine is behind it?
sounds like it was JUST two wrestlers, and then there were other 'expansions' with other single matches, so that's less interesting.

Super speed! Just think how much you'd have to spend on food.. never mind tearing up so many roads, shattering every window with the sonic boom as you go by.. it would really be an epic fail.

I believe there was at least one other member and possibly a few more that were in the process of reading some of the Cinebook titles (Thorgal, Valerian etc.) via Hoopla. When I went to use up the last of my monthly borrows tonight, the Cinebook material was no longer available on our Hoopla, and I am curious if it is just that our local library's subscription no longer includes that content, or if Hoopla is no longer carrying Cinebook material for whatever reason (I know they pay for the rights to carry material and the contract with Cinebook may have expired and not been renewed for any number of reasons). I know publishers often remove some content for various reasons periodically, and some publishers have ended their relationship with Hoopla before, but I am trying to figure out if this is a local library issue or a Hoopla in general issue. If you have Hoopla and se it, let me know if the Cinebook content is still available to you. -M I have no idea why, but Cinebook is back on Hoopla! Just popped over with the intent to find something else I might want, and there was Thorgal and Lucky Luke back on my favorite list! Hopefully you're library has it back too!

That is certainly true... losing Jerry Remy definitely had an impact. I love Eck too, but he was never going to do it full time. I feel like Eukilis about the same way I feel about Scal replacing Tommy Heinsohn. He's ok, but he's not a LEGEND. The fact they tried and had a million other guys fail doesn't help either.

Boston benefits alot from visiting fans and tourist buys.. Fenway itself is a big destination. (Though I'm sure that's more a factor in the summer than early in the season).
I think from a financial standpoint TV ratings are alot more important... we REALLY won't have a good handle on that until June with the Celtics and Bruins likely to make deep play off runs.
