If it's a given that the pizza is bad, why would the sales dip now ? The sales would have always been bad. May I remind you that this is a country that considers Olive Garden an Italian restaurant?

Just imagine...
NFL owners, looking for an end to the anthem controversy, have decided to play the anthem while players are still in their locker rooms.
Will fans support players who are now saying that they will assert their right to free expression by leaving the locker rooms to stand during the anthem or tell them that they just want to watch football?

The NFL used to play the anthem while the players were in the locker room until the DOD gave the league and its owners millions of dollars for the teams to come out and be used as recruiting tools for the armed forces (money the players who were being used as said recruiting tools never saw a dime of by the way). Teams used to make their entrance on the field AFTER the anthem played, but that changed when dollars were dangled before the greedy owners, so they are reaping what they sowed there. -M

How many fans even remember this?

I don't consider Olive Garden a Italian Restaurant at all; and the reason for that it isn't authentic enough to qualify. Besides my Olive Gardens is not to my liking and I don't eat there anymore because the service is always bad and it's too crowded and noisy too. It's doesn't have that appeal. So, that's how I see it.

Congrats to the Houston Astros and their fans (and to Carlos Correa who got engaged in the aftermath of the victory).

For some reason, the Sox have brought on Tony LaRussa on board as a Vice President of Baseball ops and assistant to Dombrowski...

I wonder if this isn't Dombrowski Insurance b/c John Henry is getting buyer's remorse about him. Maybe we should be ready for a 20-man bullpen...

Cubs won last year, Stros this year. Padres in 2018 ? They'd have to improve by 25 games or so. Doable?

As one of the few here who remembers the Houston Colt .45s, congratulations on winning the Series! It's been a long time coming.
