I absolutely love...
Jungle comic book stories/characters. Tarzan/Korak, The Phantom, Black Panther, Sheena, Ka-Zar (and Zabu!), Shanna the She-Devil, The Jungle Book Disney movie, Nyoka the jungle girl, Jungle Jim, Congorilla, Rima, George of the Jungle, B'Wana Beast and any other minor and major jungle adventurers!

I absolutely love...
The thrill of the hunt when digging through discount boxes at the LCS or Conventions. Something about getting your hands dirty (literally!) in pursuit of finding hidden/buried discount treasure. The elation and joy when finding even a SOLITARY issue is a special reward of immeasurable pleasure. Walking away with a handful is icing, whipped cream and cherries smothered in butterscotch sauce joy which reminds you of why you love comic books!

I agree. Especially as my kids get older and their wants get more expensive lol. I like the hunt and getting something at an amazing price.
It was some years ago, but it was at a time when money was tight, and I was at a store (that sells more than just comics) and I was waiting for my kids to spend their Christmas money, and found all of Omega Men but two issues and one annual all in $1 bargain bins. But even better I get the checkout after my kids found what they wanted and was pleasantly surprised to find they were running a buy one get one free on back issues, so now they're .50 cents each.
The only other really good buy (from the same store but a different location at a different time as well) was the first three Starman omnibuses in excellent condition with the book covers on them intact for $15 each.

I absolutely love...the collected Archie Giant series. I grew up reading my cousin's Archie's but never invested my limited nickels/dimes/quarters into buying (was DC/Marvel fan) any of the series regularly. Occasionally I might pick up an issue if there was nothing else interesting that week but Archie was never a regular purchase. Jump ahead 40 years or so and I find 2 big fat Archie 1000 Page Giant collections at Barnes and Nobel while Christmas shopping. Marked down for $3.00 each I picked them up. Whammo: instant addiction for reliving a simpler time and place in life which reminds you that Archie is a universal constant that everyone should be reading. Such classic goodness without all the bravado and insanity other publishers pushed. Decades of comics with morals, great stories and splendid art.
Today I pre-order any Archie Giant size collections off Amazon when they are available. It is simply wonderful having these giant size collections covering ALL the decades full of stories from the start of Archie on through current times. Simple, fun stories that make me smile and laugh and feel good. Something we all can use more of on any day. Thank you Archie Publications!

I absolutely love the multiple earths of the Pre-Crisis DC. Also, old school one and done summer annuals, with guest stars and no tie-ins to other titles.

Give me Fantastic Four Annual #6 or Spider-Man Annual #2 anytime.

Give me Fantastic Four Annual #6 or Spider-Man Annual #2 anytime. In the glorious days of old it was great to carry along on trips various Annuals and have a COMPLETE story in each annual to enjoy. Multiple parts would have been impossibly difficult for me searching out and purchasing. Sometimes I might get an Avengers at one store, and FF at another store and JLA at even another store. Distribution was horrible back in the day. Nowadays it is much easier since you either purchase on-line or through an LCS.

I absolutely love...team-up books! You are so correct! In the days of yore the team-up books were a mixed lot, sometimes good, sometimes great and many times just mediocre. But dagnabbit all there was variety. Always fun seeing characters teaming together that you might not ever imagine would be able to work together. Wonderful to see an old forgotten hero or villain re-introduced. Always happy whenever a favorite character will appear and have a moment to shine. Such joy in viewing members of a team interact with others outside of their normal group. I truly loved when there would be an ongoing "theme" over multiple issues connecting the heroes/villains for meeting. Spider-Man getting to stop a time invasion in present and then ending up traveling among the MU futures. Project Pegasus in MTIO. Them were the days of never knowing who might appear in any issue and being excited when each month you found out!
