Can't wait for this now that I've seen it. I just started a re-read of Sandman a couple of days ago, so the timing of this couldn't be better!

I can definitely see myself giving each of these a shot. I'm not really familiar with any of the writers. I recognize Si Spurrier, but I don't think I've read any of his stuff. I've had stuff by Nalo Hopkinson on my "gigantic to-read" list for a long time, but haven't gotten around to it. I do know she's very highly regarded. I gotta say that I don't envy the guy following up Gaiman and Mike Carey on a Lucifer book. I trust Gaiman's taste in writers, so I'm looking forward to this. There's been at least one (if not two) Lucifer series since Carey's series ended. I think Holly Black? did one and there was one based on the same premise as the TV show but I am not sure if that is the one Black wrote. -M Just the one series since, 19 issues and is a direct continuation from Mike Carey's run.
I'm just finishing it now, it's pretty good, but not as good as the first series.

Perusing everyone's listings today I am quite happy seeing so much variety in what is being read as well in so many decades being covered by all of us. Variety is the true spice of life and makes for some really great reading material. Gonna have to find me some afternoon time on a weekend for digging into the long boxes so I can read some things I haven't had out in awhile. With so many Essentials/Showcases I tend towards looking to them for quick reads since they are more readily available on the shelves versus opening up the boxes Yeah me too. It's one of the best things about doing this, you regularly check out everyone else to give you some ideas to go forward with.

Marvel started to pull me back in with the Legacy titles. I will wait & see if they if they go in a direction I like. If they don't... oh well. Yeah, I tried a few more with Legacy after a big hiatus and am now getting just as much Marvel as I used to. On my pull list I have:
Amazing Spider-man Dr Strange Mighty Thor Incredible Hulk Iron Fist Luke Cage Punisher Moon Knight Thanos
I'm probably going to drop a couple that I'm not enjoying that much (Moon knight, Iron Fist after damnation) but the numbering doesn't really bother me either way. The stories have been pretty good in my opinion.

Saga Extremity Maestros (by Steve Skroce, a creator I disliked in the 90's) Mighty Thor Batman Marvel Two In One Black Bolt Thanos (just the current Space Ghost Rider story) Black Panther Nick Fury(gone? but OHSO worth it while it lasted) Injustice 2 (after Thor, the title I read first every week) I'm enjoying Avengers, Iron Fist, and Amazing Spider-Man, though none are in the outstanding category. Marvels Mutant and Inhuman books(other than BB) are dire, and the amount of seemingly contradictory storylines going on there and at DC are getting annoying. Contradictory as in heroes or villains having multiple appearances in long going stories. Iron Fist has been a blast, yet isnt a pinch on Immortal Iron Fist from a few years back. Then theres Captain America, after the train wreck of HydraCap I'm waiting, its looking ok, but theyve got some ground to recover first. I keep trying other publishers, and have read some ok books from Image, Titan, Bubble, Boom, Dark Horse, and Archie, but BEST of the year? Not yet. Now roll on Marvels Conan by Crom. I am loving Maestros, it's always my first read (and I hope it's continuing after #6 as there isn't a new solicit in the latest previews) The mighty Thor Captain Kronos was great I'm also enjoying Punisher and Dark Ark

It's quite funny...This week(!) I've just managed to get my wife to read comics, after 20 years of trying, and been giving her suggestions of various non-superhero stuff to get her started. At the same time she's also looking at what's sitting around to try different things that might interest her, and this is one of her favourites! I recently picked up the first 20 issues mixed in a bulk buy and had them sitting in a to sell pile when she thought she would give it a go. I tried saying it was not really a great book to start sampling comics with, but she wouldn't be persuaded. What a dag, she even said she wants to start at #1 now I also gave her the recent Captain Kronos mini series which she really enjoyed and she picked up Mind Mgmt #1 while I was at work today and she liked that too (but that's all I have of that one). What would be some recommendations if you were in my position, I'm thinking maybe Sandman, Transmet, or Preacher? She's a fan of tge series Vikings, Game of Thrones, Outlander etc. Maybe there's something I missed, or it evolved past balloons on parade. Nope don't think so, I think it's just the witchy demony thing, lol. Don't really know though I haven't read it myself, was a straight to sell/swap kinda thing. Thanks everyone else for suggestions, I have a big chunk of most of those.

Jim Baient's Tarot Witch of the Black Rose has run for 108 issues... (one of the few work safe covers from the series) -M It's quite funny...This week(!) Hmm, still thinking on this as there's so many greats already on the list, but the first to come to find for me is Glenn Fabry.
Will add my 2nd soon.

I misplaced my phone and haven't gotten around to replacing it, so I'm unable to take pictures of any of these, but I've been busy over the last month or so. Since nobody in my real life gives a damn about comics, I figure I can at least share my purchases with people who might even care. Once again, sorry there are no pictures. I have recently purchased: Fantastic Four 2, 5, 10, 14, 15, 65, & 66 Need about 10 more to finish Hulk 180 & 181 Need 1-6 & 182 Amazing Spider-Man 8 & 18 Need 9, 17, & Annual 1 Flash 123 Still need a bunch of Flash Justice League Of America 2 Need 1, 4, 5, 9, 10 And I also got my ASM 1 back from restoration, signed by Stan Lee, and then CGC'd (it came back at 5.5, but it was really rough). Wow, impressive stuff!!
