I agree with you all on the retro things for switch, making a virtual console option available like with the Wii/3ds/wii u would be great. Although as a collector I think I would prefer some sort of compilation like with the mega man series or crash bandicoot series. If I could get something like that with other series like Supermario, wario, donkey kong, Pokemon or zelda I would be so excited.
Oh and I am somewhat excited for the new pokemon series. Mainly to see if it is actually different on the switch.

There are more than a few remasters coming to the switch that I'm excited for but this just might be the best of the bunch: Link's awakening was my introduction to the Zelda franchise; I spent so many hours playing that on my gameboy(not even in color!) as a kid and I can't wait to explore it again. The exact same for me. As for other switch games I am looking forward to Marvel ultimate alliance 3 and whatever the new pokemon game ends up being are at the top.

Smash is could as a multiplayer game because its easy to pickup and random enough for plenty of fun. Recently my girlfriend`s two nieces, 10 and 14, visited and we played that and Mario Cart all night with them. Its was really fun. Sounds like a good time. I’m way more of a fan of Mario Kart than Smash Bros. I played some Smash Ultimate with my son last night and hopefully you have better skills and didn’t get your ass handed to you by your nieces like I did with my son. We did six matches and I won one. And I was surprise at that win lol Heh I did okay. It really depends on whether or I know the character or not. However, with something like 70 characters that is just not often the case.

It does sound great. Unfortunately I am not going to be playing it since I dont have a PS4 and am unlikely to buy one any time soon. I already have a x1 and a Switch so I feel like a third current game system would be too much. I have mostly been playing a whole lot of Smash on the switch. Its such a fun time If you enjoy that sort of game. My youngest son is really enjoying the heck out of Smash Ultimate. He's been playing it since Christmas morning and has unlocked a bunch of characters. Hopefully this four day weekend coming up I will get a chance to try both Spiderman and Smash Ultimate myself. My goals are going to be relatively simple. I am not really planning on buying a lot and focuse more on reading what I already have.
Reading Goals: Read my entire backlog. About 30 physical comics, 6 collected editions and about 50 digital comics.
Acquisition goals: Not much. Buy a few select collected editions and maybe a few issues of Sandman mystery theather or The spirit to fill out some of the wholes in my collection. But its not really a pressing issue for me. If I end up not getting any its not really that bad.

Sorry to monopolize thread, but I just have more gaming updates than usual. I fired up PS4 Spider-Man last night finally. I'd heard it was good, right? Everyone keeps going on about how great it is. I go into it thinking okay, I'm sure it's good, but it's just a video game. I've played so many kinds. I'm sure it's good, but how good could it really be? Guys... it's really good. It's one of the best-looking games I've ever seen, the acting is great, it plays great, and it just feels like you're playing a Marvel movie. I only had a couple hours before I fell asleep, but I am really excited to play it again...sometime..when kids and wife are asleep and I have a little more wick to burn on the daily candle. It does sound great. Unfortunately I am not going to be playing it since I dont have a PS4 and am unlikely to buy one any time soon. I already have a x1 and a Switch so I feel like a third current game system would be too much. I have mostly been playing a whole lot of Smash on the switch. Transformers without a doubt. Loved the toys and the comics. The bios which had both robot and vehicle mode were great, I have the collected editions from idw and they are some of my favorite collected editions.

To add to what Bor said, if he is at certain points going to have access to the internet and is interested in downloading digital games and/or playing 360 games on it, I would either suggest a console with at least a 1TB HD or planning on buying an external HD down the road if money is an issue. Money wasn't an issue at the time I got my Xbox1 S but I bought a 500GB HD thinking it would be enough. Unfortunatly a lot of AAA digital games are nearing 100GB on their own. Plus as Bor said you will need memory room on the HD to install 360 games as well. The only thing he really couldn't do is play free to play games like Warframe, that while they can be played offline (I have played Warframe solo) they need a constant internet connection, not only to be played, but to get the updates. Yeah good point. I have a original 500 GB model which I added a 2T but even so I have had to delete stuff, although a big part of that is because of a rather large 360 collection and free games with gold membership each month.

Need advice about the Xbox One S console. My brother's Xbox 360 recently crapped out and stopped working, so I'm thinking of buying him the newest Xbox One S console as a replacement. However, he doesn't have an internet connection at his home (he's disabled, unemployed and can't afford one). I've read that you need to be connected to the internet for the initial setup of the console, which we can get around because he can always bring it to my house and we can do the set up there, right? But he's going to be using the console offline for the rest of the time. I'd like to get an idea of how important an internet connection is in the day-to-day use of the Xbox One S console? Will his not being online be a big problem for him, which may affect his ability to use the console to play games by himself? Also, how many modern games require your Xbox One S to be connected to the internet? Thanks in advance for your help in this, people...I'm utterly clueless about this sort of thing! I dont have a S model but the original Xbox one model, but the basic setup should be the same. As you said having an internet connection when you first set it up is a good idea and the same applies when you install games but other then that it really depends on what kind of game it is. One player games can be played with out much trouble. If you just want to replace the 360 they are dirt cheap now. However, with the one/s/x model you get access to xbox one games and on top of that its backwards compatable with a whole bunch of 360 games. But keep in mind that if you do install 360 games you need to have an internet connection because the machine does not actually play the game but download a digital version where you use the disc afterwords as key of sort.

I am moving in with my girlfriend, well she is moving it with me, which means I am currently cutting down my collection. Its really not as hard as I thought it would be. For most modern issues/ collections am fine with selling them and just reading them digitally instead on Marvel unlimited or stuff like that. Its also made me realize how much space I can actually save this way.

I know a lot of posters here dislike digital comics but I still want to point out to people that comixology is having a very descent sales for marvel which includes some epics and other big collections. I just bought 9 books, including 6 epics which have 300-500 pages pr book, for 8€ Total. Savings: 145€. I get most people prefer physical, I do to, but for that price its not a bad deal if you want to try something out. I dont know how long this lasts but if you have any interst in this I do think you should check it out soon. www.comixology.com/Marvel-Recent-Collections-Sale/page/17867?ref=c2l0ZS9pbmRleC90YWJsZXQvbGFyZ2VDYXJvdXNlbA&list22872_pg=2 A buck a piece is hard to beat. Note that if you get Masterworks Captain Marvel vol. 3, Masterworks Warlock vol. 2 and Death of Captain Marvel, you now have the entire original Thanos Saga for $3. Yeah. There really are quite a few good things there. Lots of news thing but also plenty of classic things. I pretty much just bought enough material for a years worth of train trips etc.

Growing up and learning English as a second language in the 90s and early 00s events like the Columbine shooting was often something we would read texts about and discuss because at the time something like that was both terrible and so hard to imagine happening. Its awfull that today even thoug its still terrible when it happens its not nearly as difficult to belive.

Not sure if there are other metal heads here, but Slayer is doing a farewell tour. I'm all over that. What a lineup. Thats cool.
I saw them in 08 here in Denmark at Roskilde festival. It was pretty great. Although my memory might be somewhat coloured by being 20 at the time, very drunk and a big fan.
