As much as I try to stay out of this thread (I've never exactly been the most moderate in my politics), someone sent me an article that seemed relevant to the discussion. It's an account of the inauguration protests from the perspective of one of the Antifa protestors. Regardless of one's stance on the role of violence in political protest, writing it off wholesale runs the risk of ignoring its underlying causes.

Back issue hunting this weekend was a bust. I went to a shop that isn't one of my usual stops and walked away empty handed. They had a good bit of Silver Age Daredevil for good prices ($8-$12/ issue), just nothing I was looking for. I'll definitely be back when I'm working on the early issues.
The real disappointment was lunch. The comic shop was across the street from what is supposed to be the best noodle place in the city. Everything tasted either like it was frozen or came out of a jar. Blah.

My favorite part of Inauguration day was when the Nazi got punched out on live television. Like on the cover of Captain America #1? Now that's American! White supremacist Richard Spencer punched.

Work in progress. They're this semester's demonstration blocks for my printmaking class. It'll be a three color image when it's done.

Continuing the tedious task of transferring my long boxes into short boxes. It's times like this that I almost wish it was all digital. Almost My sympathies.

Reading about the history of paper, because oh my God why did I decide to do a lesson about this?

The meeting went well. I think I might have a new studio.

Mail call! Issues 290-299. This just leaves the O'Neil issues to finish the run from 168-300.

Depending on how a meeting goes tomorrow, I might have my own studio in the near future. Fingers crossed.
