Apparently, "Pharma Bro" Martin Shkreli had a handful of dog poop thrown in his face and I'm having a hard time condemning that action.

I had a dream last night that I was on the set of Superman II and Sarah Douglas, dressed as Ursa, was coming on to me. Weird. There's nothing weird about that at all.

I just got home from seeing the original Friday the 13th on the big screen for the first time. Coincidentally, it was also the thirteenth movie I've watched this year.

Just bought the Atari Force mini-series (the ones packaged with video games back in the day). Now all I need is Roquefort Raider to start a review thread for the second series that followed I'm a big Atari collector, so I've always wanted to read those. Good find!

The collecting of the O'Neil issues is underway (plus #300 for good measure).

Here's a quickie (30 minutes or so) acrylic self portrait I just did.

That's the one. It's fairly low grade, so I'm hoping it doesn't go for anything outrageous. Even a low-grade copy of that one is out of my price range. But happily I discovered that those early Wally Wood issues were reprinted in books like Marvel Super-Heroes, so I think I have most of them now. This one got away from me. It went for $61 and looked to be right around the 2.5- 3 range. I like to allow myself one "big" book every year, and this year it's probably going to be DD #7.

I should really be asleep right now, but I put a bid on a copy of Daredevil #7 and now I'm all anxious. That the one with DD vs Sub-Mariner with Wally Wood art? One of Marvel's best issues from 1964. Best of luck obtaining it That's the one. It's fairly low grade, so I'm hoping it doesn't go for anything outrageous.

I just finished Star Wars #39-44, the Marvel adaptation of Empire Strikes Back. I remember not really caring for it the first time I read it, but I liked it a lot more this time. It's a masterpiece. Best comic adaptation of a movie bar none, as far I'm concerned. I think I'm conflating it in my memory with the adaptation of RotJ, which I'm currently reading. The ESB issues were pretty great.

Feel better Gene and @shaxper Thank you. I'm mostly feeling better, other than my head feeling like a beach ball. It's been a good excuse to get caught up on my comics reading.

I've been down with one all weekend. They're the worst. I was on my longest streak ever for no illnesses in a school year, but I've got one brewing too. 'Tis the season. I've been "lucky" enough the last few years to only get sick during breaks. Our semester doesn't start for another week, so I should be good to go by then.
