Speaking as an artist, that particular Aquaman costume may look cool but would be a bitch to draw consistently panel to panel. I wouldn't want the assignment. Cei-U! I summon the big ol' nope! I don't have a dog in this fight, but the revised costume is certainly more effective underwater camouflage than the orange tunic. But, even practically, probably made it more difficult for the colorist to make him stand out on the page. Never read a story from this period, but always felt masked Dr. Strange was an abomination...

There were a few such titles in the Golden Age, mostly from Fawcett (Gift Comics, Xmas Comics) and Fox (can't remember the titles off the top of my head). .... Cei-U! I summon the bad boys! EC also put out annuals of four unsold books under a new cover. I believe they had three horror and two each SF and war. This is the second war collection...

Can we talk about "no pecs and four sets of abdominals"?

...despite the fact that the vast majority of books since 1990(?) probably will not appreciate. (photo taken this past Sunday) Is this your table ? I've been selling my Hulk collection online starting at 1.99 per three issues. They mostly go for 1.99 at the end. It's a buyers market most of the time. No, not mine--flea market where it seems more and more dealers have boxes of (usually) 1990 and up stuff for a dollar. To be fair, there is certainly no shortage of DVDs and CDs for a buck apiece at dozens of tables.
My one comic purchase that day was an unbagged, but nice, 15-cent Dell Uncle Scrooge from 1961 for a buck.

I will also add that those coming into collecting (and not reading comics) are not seeking out pamphlets to read, if they do read the stuff its digitally or in collections, they are buying pamphlets, old or new, simply to slab and hope they appreciate in value. ...despite the fact that the vast majority of books since 1990(?) probably will not appreciate.
