The Goblin of Adachigahara - It is where it all begins! The artwork is awesome and the mood is so evocative of a chambara film, a relatively simple horror story of a life and death battle with a monster from hell. In one eight page story, it captures the full range of what the series can and will be.
A Mother's Love - Another seemingly simple story with an ending which shows just how different feudal Japanese culture was from todays. I am always amazed at how so many people seem to miss what has happened on the last page of this story (i.e. Ronin Rabbit podcast episode 20)
Kappa - How does Stan do so much with such seemingly simple stories? A great introduction into the weird and wonderful creatures of Japanese mythology(?) which seems to be a simple adventure tale until the end. One of Stan's earliest ghost stories, which completely sneaks up on you.

Ha! I quoted you to inquire if this was a kickstarter thing of sorts, but it states in the quote box "Your Kickstarter embed will appear after you post...". That answers that then! I have never participated in a Kickstarter before. I get the concept, but what is the monetary goal, specifically, here? They are (and always have been) a sellf-publishers. Some years back, they started financing their newer print runs for the collected tpb editions through Kickstarter. I am not sure if they still distribute through Diamond's Preview catalog or not. They have some great perks for donating.
I tried to post just a regular link but it insisted on the embedded link....

This was a commission I got from Batton Lash several years ago featuring his characters Wollf and Byrd along with Jei-san.
Supernatural Law is another of the many excellent creator owned comics which not enough people know about....
Also: I ordered a Supernatural Law book last night. According to Amazon, it should arrive Monday.

A pin-up Stan did which was published in an issue of Supernatural Law
An illustration which accompanied a letter Stan sent to Batton Lash and which was published in one of the letter columns.

Well, if you look closely at the end of Senso #4, you see something involving Keiko that is pretty close to what you described... Clearly I read that scene too quickly! Like Usagi-chan probably did?

Amazing how many people have Usagi drawings by Katie Cook!
My nephew and I both requested one after seeing the one she did for Stan back in 2007.....

I have actually been thinking about selling some of my original pages, maybe starting with Senso. I have done more than 5,000 Usagi pages and it's taking up a lot of real estate in my closet. As I said, I'm just thinking about it. I can't explain why, but I always thought it was cool that you keep all your original Usagi story pages, a consistency and order to life kind of thing....

That's awesome, I'm definitely going to need to visit the museum in Worcester again and I hope you and your family enjoy your time here around Boston this summer, there's a lot of great stuff to enjoy around the city. I learned just yesterday that that second exhibit had ended as well, when the museum informed me that they were taking down the art and was packing it for return. A recent message posted on the Uncollected Editions: The Homegrown Hardcovers Binding sub-forum of the Collected Editions Discussion Forums mentions that Stan will be part of a Gallery Display in Omaha this September....

Wow, you guys have such amazing pieces! I can't believe some of you have the original pages of the Usagi books!! From what I gather, Stan usually doesn't part with them very easily. Super cool! If you are referring to the two pages I posted, they were both unused pages www.comicartfans.com is still a great art database with a ton of awesome artwork hosted there, and it is searchable. As far as something like pinterest, I have not visited it enough to know anything about it.
