It was bound to happen. Someone got Stan Lee to sign a 'no-prize' and it was witnessed by CGC - who then slabbed it. It now has an asking price of almost $5,000.00
So someone might be a winner after all.
Because we can't have nice things without someone trying to monetize it.

That Playboy "Little Annie Fanny" set is a nice looking thing, Rags . I'm totally unfamiliar with the strip (no pun intended), but I'm guessing it'll be a lot like some of Wally Wood's naughtier things, like Malice in Wonderland and The Wizard of Ooz. You have to see Woods " Big Bang" series. Yikes !

"Jughead, I want you to court/woo me" Translated for the era. An unfortunate wording in the more modern context. It's more fun the other way.

Another grey area question -- how about new characters like Speedball, for example, who made his debut in an Amazing Spider-Man annual before launching his solo title. Is that considered a legit spinoff or a marketing ploy? I'm not a fan of mind reading. If his first appearance is a story not in a series about him, I consider it okay to use. Captain Marvel (Monica Rambeu) appeared in a Spider-man annual. I don't care what the intention for her was. It should count.

Isn't Red Hood similar to The Punisher? In the late 80s and 90s, DC tried to do Punisher with guys like Deadshot and Deathstroke, but Vigilante was the best effort until Ennis' Hitman. Hitman definitely is NOT an attempt to do the Punisher, IMO. Perhaps a spoof of him if there's any relation. Hitman is more realistic than the rest. A high body count and he never harbors illusions that he's going the right thing.

A few posts above have just been deleted. I refer you gentlefolks to this general announcement from 2021 : "(...) As a general guideline, discuss others like their impressionable young son, daughter, niece, or nephew is reading, and definitely do not celebrate a person's tragedy or death, no matter who they were, what they did, or whether they'd gleefully say the same about you. "Thank you. This is why we can't have nice things.

I wonder what the 6 issues of Heavy Metal with Outland would cost. 51-56 This book was scanned and then printed, so that diminishes the original. Roughly 10-20 bucks apiece from sane dealers (not ebay), but can sometimes be found cheaper in antique malls, the dusty, ratty mag section of some comic shops, etc. The most expensive issues in the series may be V5 #5 (53) and V5 #6 (54), primarily due to the 1st and 2nd appearances of Taarna in the magazine. The 2nd appearance is primarily cover-only, but it is the same image used in the film poster, so it's a classic cover-only collectible.
By the way, it's issues 51-55, and then the final chapter is not published until issue #58 (V5 #10). Issues 56-57 do not have Outland chapters.
I'm waiting til it gets to the dollar box.
