Why don't you save them for the Cover Contests? I'm sure there will a Christmas theme.... I thought by now there must have been.

How do you feel about a character that debuts and his ongoing spinoff series is a team book ? Can you give me an example? Can I use Kid Flash appearing in the Teen Titans as his series ?

Hmm, good question. I throw the question open to the group. Should these series (and X-Factor) be counted as spin-offs of Uncanny X-Men, since they share that title's basic premise even though they technically didn't debut in the comic? I'm inclined to say yes (this would also allow She-Hulk to qualify) but will bow to the consensus opinion.
Cei-U! I summon the debate!
What I know about Excalibur could be put in a thimble and have room left over. But I don't feel like The New Mutants is a spin off at all. They first appeared in a one-shot graphic novel. They then went directly to their own title. No initial guest appearances in X-Men. In fact they kind of made pains to keep them semi-separate from the main group, at least for a while. My two cents. The trouble with that example is that New Mutants started in a graphic novel which they headlined.

I'm trying to concoct my 12, but I must be dumb because I'm getting really confused about what is eligable and what isn't. So Cei-U! , if a character started off in his own strip in a comic book with several strips in it, but then graduated to having his own title, a la Jonah Hex, who first appeared in All-Star Western as the lead character in one story that sat alongside two other unrelated strips, that character wouldn't be eligable, right? The character would've had to have started off as a co-star in their original appearances, not the lead character? So, Jonah Hex wouldn't be eligable? But Wolverine would? Yes, that's correct. However, the series is eligible if it appears as a back-up in the title in which the character first appeared, as in "Kid Flash" in The Flash or "Tales of Asgard" in Journey into Mystery/Thor.
Cei-U! I summon the clarification!
That’s so weird, about Kid Flash. I think ANY story be it back up or not that features the character as the lead would be ineligible. But Kid Flash wasn’t a separate story, was it ?

Does anyone have information about external DVD drives? I have a Mac but it doesn't have a DVD Player as a feature. I'm thinking about buying an external. Is there anything I should know ?
