With 60 or so meetings of the Thing and the Hulk over the years it literally just occurred to me Byrne had never done his version of this classic battle

I think I would like an ongoing title that has stories about romance with just the superheroes of Marvel or DC. I like this idea. Or how about supervillains raising their families but not in a humorous way.

I’m looking forward to reading this Onnibus. But it’s been so long I started to wonder if there were Amalgams of the Dc/Marvel villains?

Interesting that you mentioned WKRP; like I said, watching M*A*S*H or Cheers is a hard pass for me. However, about a year or two ago, I found out that there was a whole bunch of WKRP episodes posted on YouTube and I ended up watching most of them over the course of a few weeks and was surprised at how much I enjoyed them (meaning that for me they held up pretty well). About 5-6 years ago, there was a a similar situation when I realized someone had posted almost the entire run of What's Happening on YouTube and I really enjoyed watching them all - although in that latter case I'll readily admit that a lot my enjoyment was due more to nostalgia than anything else. I loved WKRP. Last year I watched News Radio. Phil Hartman was such a comic genius.

As I reread my original post and read others ‘posts I saw some flaws in my thinking. Being a stepfather for the first time at 55 to a 15 year old I think everything annoys me. Even reading about a teenagers. I do like how this thread , and many threads in this forum branch out to start totally new discussions.

I agree. As a kid I just thought he was hip and cool and my favorite member of Titans. No I look back and wish Donna or Robin would just slap him Why? Teenagers with raging hormones (along with the personality extremes that often go along with it) are common to that age. Teenagers behaved that way long before TNTT comic, and still act that way, which gave more variety to the main characters, rather than all being ultra-serious or driven like Dick Grayson. Ok fair point.

I I don't remember being as bothered as a kid, but now when I reread it seems so cringy. I agree. As a kid I just thought he was hip and cool and my favorite member of Titans. Now I look back and wish Donna or Robin would just slap him.

I had put in a post about how I was rereading my TNTT trades to see how well they held up. And while overall they are enjoyable the one thing that I can’t stand is Changeling. Gar’s super sexist remarks not to mention his one liners made me wish that after he was shocked by Terminator in issue 10 he died. Was this Marc Wolfman and Perez’s sensibilities? Just an observation. It's just how they handled his "characterization." In the Doom Patrol Gar was pretty much a brat. I have always wanted to read Doom Patrol with the undertanding that Gar is Gar.

Where do key issues such as Hulk 181 rank in your most loved issues? While 181 is incredibly important and I wish I had a copy, I wouldn’t say it was ever one of my top 10 favorite reads.
My top 10 favorite reads: Hulk 128 Avengers 164 X-men 128 Iron Man 124 Iron Man 118 Daredevil 163 FF 242 FF 243 Avengers 59 Amazing Spiderman 232

My all time favorite Hulk issue. I remember clearly getting my first copy of this at about age 12 at the Downingtown Pa Farmers Market. Since then I have probably own about 3 issues of this over the years and it was the first issue I got when I decided to really work on my Hulk collection.
