Since its tradition, let's keep it going. What is on your '24 Classic Comic Resolutions? 1. Key Issue Pick-ups- Honestly, I'm not looking to buy a ton next year. I want about 4 or 5 key issues/personal grail books and that's it; meaning if I can afford them at a reasonable price. I think I'm dwindling down with collecting back issues. I'll read what I have but the stuff I want, there's not a whole lot of books I'm searching for out there. If there's something that catches my eye, I'll pick it up but there's just that handful of books. 2. Wrap Up Binding Project- I'm almost done, as I've mentioned. I have everything wrapped up and set to go. Honestly its up to bindery to take care of it. Three volumes of Ostrander's Spectre run. Waid's Impulse run, and possibly a couple other fun book ideas. 3. Self-Preservation- Still getting some of the Silver Age and some Golden Age items CGC'd . First quarter check-in. 1. Key Issue Pick-Ups: I've hit all my personal grails. I had a great February at CalComicCon and scored 2 of them from the same vendor. Then I traded some books to a friend of mine for another grail. The next comic show for me is in May but I doubt anything is going to be out there for me. It has to be a real special book for me to pick up at this juncture of my collecting days. 2. Binding Project: Sent my books off to the bindery in March. Sent my artwork to my designer. Once we hear from the bindery of the specs/dimensions, it'll be put together and I'll get them back. I'm hoping by July to have my books back. if there's a cheap run of comics I find in the dollar bin I might do. I have some random odds and ends of comics I could put together to make a bind, if I wanted to. 3. Self-Preservation: Haven't submitted any books into CGC yet. I have 2 stacks (one Silver/Golden Age & one modern) ready to go. Maybe a bit later in the year.

Danger Trail! #s 1-4 Len Wein/Carmine Infantino/Frank McLaughlin The original Danger Trail from Kanigher and Infantino was created back in 1950 which debuted King Faraday was your typical early pre-cold war counter-espionage comic of spies, femme fatales and action. Super fun stories with great art of era. Reprinted in Showcase under "I-Spy" (where I first read them), the issues were solid. Flash forward to 1993, Len Wein along with Infantino brings back King Faraday for a 4 issue mini which brought King to a modern day audience. Its goofy fun with a globetrotting action adventurer. I love the Gulacy covers; only wish he did the interiors.

This is my favorite era of GI Joe. We're coming up to my favorite storyline, 42 to 50. It has the best the best storytelling (I think). Issue 43 and 45 are the stand-outs I can't wait to read your reviews of those issues.

This is the very rare 'Vampirella Special by Jose Gonzales' from 1977. It was the very first collected edition, 88 pages, approx 8.5 x 11 and in full-colour. Getting these above mid-grade is near impossible but my source had 2-3 in VF or better. I think my favourite Vamp story, Death's Dark Angel is included and worth the price I paid (well below the $150 tag...)
Congrats. The Warren special books, this and the Spirit, are getting super rare to find. I paid a little under $100 for mine but its worth it. Great find.

Here's something pretty cool and top shelf. This Rocketeer 3-D comic and audio tape to go along with the story. I love the Rocketeer 3-D glasses that come along with it.
