The amazing Jeffrey Jones. He did come from the same "school" as Frazetta. Much closer to teacher-student. Though both were "students" of Roy Krenkel. |

Jones was a contemporary of Bernie Wrightson, and the two of them were very influenced (and inspired) by Frazetta. I think, though, Jones really surpassed him as an artist. Infantino's 70s art was anti-sexy to me - all straight lines and sharp angles. And I've never liked Spider-woman's costume. It's a surprise to me that so many fans seem to think it's a really good design.

I'm fairly sure he did the art to the Star Lord story in Marvel Previews where Ship takes on human form to save him. That's a sultry gal. :-) Another cover I liked is this one of Black Phantom #2: And I think the reason why is clear! Chihuahua bug eyes! |

It's a surprise to me that so many fans seem to think it's a really good design. I like Spider-Woman's costume, but otherwise, I'm with you. I can't abide Infantino's later art, it's hideous. I have contemplated reading Spider-Woman a few times but every time have had to turn back because of that monstrously bad art. |
