Pretty sure that cover is younger than 10 years, so you need to choose something else, sadly. Very nice cover, though.

The rules: Post one, and only one, classic cover that fits the theme of the contest.
-Cover must be from a published comic book or collected volume published before Jan 1 2005.Pretty sure that cover is younger than 10 years, so you need to choose something else, sadly. Very nice cover, though. A homage of a classic should count-at least I would hope. Its too nice to ignore I'm feeling kind of strongly about this rule because it makes this thread more than just a rip-off of the CBR version.

This was one of my potential topics! Glad to see it come up! Here is my entry, based off two issues I actually have.

Ish, as Pip, pointed out, that SA cover is less than ten years old. However, there's a ton of homages to that particular Steranko cover, so it shouldn't be too hard to find a substitute. (For example, a comic published by a video game company whose character has a name formed from the red liquid that flows through our bodies and something I spent most of last Sunday doing at the bar.)
EDIT: I'm not really opposed to the homage cover being less than 10 years old as long as the classic one is, but that was the parameter for these contests.

I wasn't going to participate because I couldn't think of any classic covers that hadn't been done repeatedly. But then I thought of a cover that, as far as I know, has only had one homage. Here's the homage: Here's the original:

(. . .a name formed from the red liquid that flows through our bodies and something I spent most of last Sunday doing at the bar.) So, was Bordeaux Table-Dancer an ongoing or limited series?
