This was one of my potential topics! Glad to see it come up! Here is my entry, based off two issues I actually have.   Excellent!, I've seen that Spider-Man cover dozens of times but never connected it with the Classic Avengers cover. |

I dont know enough about Ron Frenz to know if he had any ties with Adams...maybe Adams was just an inspiration, maybe it was just a general homage/swipe or it could possibly be coincidence. I have always thought of them being similar enough, even with some subtle changes here and there.

It's definitely not a coincidence, what with the foreground and background character placements, but obviously not intended to be a "swipe" either. I don't know about Adams, but Frenz spent quite a lot of time in his career being a very obvious John Buscema clone.

Sooo hard to choose this week.
But I'll cast my vote for Slam_Bradley because I love both teams so much and I did not know about this homage.
Anyone else in favor of changing this thread's title in a couple of days and keeping it going? These are so much fun!
