Or, Superman could just skip all that aggravation like he does in Superman #299, where Mr. Mxyzkptlk shows up and Superman takes him out in one panel by braining him with a rock and knocking him out cold.  |

I ran across this cover and noticed that it looks like a homage to FF #1. Interesting because the FF were inspired by the COTU. But the cheese head monsters are awful.  |

All these supermarket moments remind me of one of my favorite goofy moments in comics: Black Panther shopping in costume at the Food Lion with Monica Lynne. Since this was the '70s, there was a goofy edict that a character had to appear in costume for a certain percentage of the comic. So, yes, Black Panther goes shopping at the Food Lion in costume! You'll never guess what happened...
I wish I could find a scan.
