Number 41 deals with, among other things, the question of what was the first "female-female" crossover of featured characters. I can't find anything earlier than this one in any medium. Is this a "comic book first?" Comic books certainly did this before the later medium television. The earliest "crossovers" known to me in that medium were simple spinoffs, where, say, the Lucy Ricardo character would appear on some new TV show in which Desilu had an interest. Thanks to Youtube I saw some 50s show with such a guest-shot; the regular show featured Pat Carroll or someone like her.

For Number 42, I've worked in a mini-essay about Bob Haney's BRAVE AND BOLD along with my selection for a representative crossover from that title.

Number 46 may not be the last crossover Steve Ditko ever did, but it might be the last one where he alone was the formative influence.
